Clemson used the Georgia game plan.

The only changes you can make is to be more wide open, and just play better. Arkansas started with 14 points in the first half and finished with 31 in 2018. That's with a brand new HC and mediocre talent in comparison with LSU. LSU has only scored 26 points TOTAL in their last 4 meetings with 16 points coming in Miles's final full year.
Every team in the West has scored more than 10 points vs Bama in a single game vs Bama since 2016 except for LSU. Mississippi St is the only other West team that has been shut out in a game vs Bama over that span.
You cannot convince me that it impossible to score on Bama. Over the past 5 years, outside of 2017, Bama has had mediocre pass defense. Instead of attacking that, we go against that. The play calling and offensive scheme has been atrocious against Bama.

Honestly I don’t think we beat them as long as they have Tua. As good as our D was last year they still scored 29. I don’t have confidence in us putting up 30 points against them with what i have seen the past few years
Our D gave up 29 because the offense couldn't do shite. We held them to 9 points all the way up til the final minutes of the first half. Mississippi St held Bama to 24 points with no offense either. Clemson held them to 16 points and that was because they could run offense and attacked their mediocre pass defense something that neither LSU nor Miss St could.

Few Qbs have proven that you can move the ball on Bama if you either A. Have time to throw it on their good but not great Dbs..
Yep. Here were the last 3 QBs Bama played to finish out the year;
Fromm 25/39 301 yards 3 TD
Murray 19/37 308 yards 2 TD, 17 car 109 yards 1 TD
Lawrence 20/32 347 yards 3 TD
Any time Bama has had a tough game is when they've played a good QB. Kelly (Ole Miss), Allen (Arkansas), and Watson (Clemson) in 2016 all threw over 400 yards and 3 TDs vs Bama. You cannot compete with Bama with mediocre QB play.

I've seen it mentioned quite a few times here, but we have to stretch the field vertically and horizontally. Vertical may actually be more important as it makes the D act like an accordion, creating a little scare factor in the LBs & DBs. And we will hit pay dirt on a few of those long throws, possibly making the offense into a quick-score unit for a couple of TDs...

2 things:
Plays the develop QUICKLY
Force their D to move side to side and defend the whole field.
When we have lost to Bama badly, they were able to pin their ears back and rush PERIOD.
Slants, Screens and Playaction plays with a rush mixed in.
Will not beat them just trying to rush the ball up the middle

Our game plan last year was to get on the OT and whine about our starting LBer being out. Our game plan was to complain nationally like a baby for two solid weeks. It didn’t work

Since we were told that it wasn’t poor play calling nor was it a schematic issue, I’d hope the coaches change nothing. Just have to hope the players execute better, right?

Deer antler spray b4 the game to even the odds. Though if the guy that sells it to us tells a publication that he did so, it would def not disappear like the claim against Bama in ‘11.

Until the LSU offense line learns o block we are going to be an 9-3 or 8&4 every year !

Be aggressive. Don't be timid. Teams that give Bama trouble are aggressive.
There's no sense trying to play ball control.
We've been timid and haven't had the scheme or a good enough offensive line to be aggressive.
I'm not talking about a "wing and prayer" offense as we tried two years ago. Sure Etling could have been more accurate and we could have come down with a ball but it's low percentage. You must have a good short passing game that compliments your running game so you can move the chains.

Yes got to take chances. They tried that in 2017 but Danny could not connect with Chark on those deep passes. This is where good chemistry between Jeaux Jeaux and Marshall on deep passes is crucial. Marshall and Chase can be big for us in this match up.

Use it and don't get caught:)>

Taking chances is reflected in the playcalling.
Moreso under Ensminger, the coach has not been willing to take chances. If you're not willing to take chances and risk looking like a fool in the process, you'll have no shot to beat Bama. Simple as that.

Okay lining up in shotgun and throwing quick passes while keeping a tight end and running back to block isnt going to work.
We had a couple good plays when we actually had 5 guys out in routes and got some yards.
We had a few nice passes to Jefferson and Sullivan but the overall game plan last year as a whole was shite because we had an 80 year old who believed the best way to protect the QB was max protect.
That's what I would change. Get more creative with getting 5 out in routes. And then start the run game.
Establish the pass before trying to run.

In short, misdirection and Freeze option. I would go with a 3 WR set. I would then go jet sweep into the freeze option. If the jet sweep is faked, then the QB rolls to the side vacated by the WR running the jet sweep. Basically, it should keep the D line and linebackers off balance. With the Freeze option (an older type of RPO). The QB tucking the ball and running is the last option in this system. Important for QB health.
IIRC:
1 is the WR,
2 is the pitch to RB,
3 is the TE, and
4 is the QB keeper.
It is more complicated than current RPOs in that the first read is the CB on the roll out. If the CB stays with the WR, then the CB is frozen and it is time for the QB to tuck and run. If not, and the CB runs up to attack the ball, then it is time to go option and pitch the ball to RB. The TE should seal the block to the inside, and break at an angle into the flat. This should "freeze" the LB. This is the second read. If the LB attacks the ball carrier, then the TE should be open. If the LB goes with the TE, then the QB continues forward with the ball in his hands. Worst case scenario is a QB keeper with a slide in front of the safety. This system does require a true dual threat QB where passing on the move (roll out) is key. Burrow, while looking clumsy, can actually move fairly well. The Freeze option was something that was tough to defend in the past. Add in the jet sweep as a feature and the Freeze option could be resurrected as a "new" type of RPO.

I can't argue with the conservative nature of our calls under E went going up against Bama. That has to change this year.

RB delay, takes too much time that equals a sack.
