Being a season ticket holder takes a huge block of your fall time. Going to a game takes up a full Saturday if you live out of town. Thus every free weekend is jammed full of everything you cant do on the other weekends.

The other issue here is that USCe controls the price and time. USCe's prime goal here is to keep the crowd as small as they can and avoid a night game at all costs! Thus you have a day game. If this had been a night game LSU easily could have 80 to 90 thousand tickets sold. To me its a rather dumb move on their part as a loss is almost inevitable. Sell all the tickets you can collect all the money you can and take your whoopin like a man.

I'm sorry but how is USCe's athletic Dept in any way going to help the flooding victims?

If as a season ticket holder every free weekend is jammed full of everything you can't do on the other weekends, are these activities only limited to the daytime hours?

It seems to me that if my weekend is already so jammed full of activities, a 4 hour differnce in kickoff time would hardly matter.

If the game was at 7 pm, I would have bought my two season ticket seats. I don't give a shite about the heat. I've had plans to do something with my kids and I'm not about to blow them off so I can be a shitty father. Sorry.

I'll be there for Florida.

Only 30,000 tickets sold, someone please tell me this is not true, fill that damn stadium up, do whatever it takes. It's the right thing to do.

This is a joke, right?

And some who have plans for the evening may be able to make the afternoon game, so maybe any difference in attendance is a wash in the end. In my opinion, you're doing the right thing in sticking to your plans with your kids.

However, the assertion that a night game would draw 80,000 to 90,000 is probably inaccurate. Especially if the previous poster's comment about road game weekends being "jammed full" is to be believed.

Have cash bars at every level

Let people smoke stogies in designated areas

Serve good food. Hand passed aps

With each box sold come complete with pole and stripper

Just a few ideas that come to mind

You know people can still donate to the cause without attending the game? This whole attendance thing is getting out of hand.

Having former players at every entrance wouldn't make me want to go at all. I'm not one of those guys who gets a hard on for stuff like that. So I walk into the gate and see some guy who played college football in the 90s but is now a local attorney in town? That's gonna excite me? That's gonna make me decide to go? No. Not at all.

I'm so sick of all the bitching about there should be more tickets being bought and/or what else can LSU do.

LSU has done more than enough and honestly probably gone too far with the whole "Geaux gamecocks" thing.

The bitching about the amount of tickets needs to stop. LSU chose to host this game. They can't make people come.

I think all schools in BR are having their fairs today. People have other commitments...weddings etc.

Donate the money to SC and give tickets to people who can't afford it
