Just heard Ponamsky say that a bat(s) was confiscated during the game last night. Just wondering what possible repercussions they face if those bats are deemed illegal.

Doubt anyone would care enough to do anything . Deflate gate on a much smaller scale

Should have confiscated the gloves LSU were using for holes!! 8 errors the last 2 games.

I'm not saying we deserve the win or anything like that. Just wondering if the NCAA hammers them with a fine or something

If they used illegal bats they probably take the win away. But illegal bats or not we should have won it.

they check bats for "flat" spots - older bats

Dumb LSU fans think the night did not happen, much like the rain shortened UL loss last year.

I saw the home plate umpire tapping the bat on the ground after Nichols batted in the 5th, then hand the bat to an official type person next to the dugout, not back to Nichols. I wondered what happened because nothing was said.
The errors killed us...and leaving 17 men on base...

It was freezing. Probably cracked and they took it out of play.

Damn it was 26 in WM. Either way, those bats aren't built to be hit below 50 degrees. From Easton website:

Does cold weather affect my bat?
Aluminum bats, especially those higher performance models with thinner walls should not be used in temperatures below 50 degrees. The problem is not so much the bat as it is the ball. Cold temperatures make the composition of the ball denser, especially the new 'Compacted Core' Balls being offered. This puts unusual stress on the bat walls which will result in denting. Bats may also be sensitive to very hot temperatures and should not be stored in areas that are exposed to high heat, such as car trunks. Bat failure due to misuse in extreme temperatures is not covered by the manufacturer's warranty.

6 strikeouts in 1st 4 innings with runners on base
8 H and 0 runs in those 4 innings
Can't win baseball games that way.
