What are some upcoming position battles coming into camp?

Wanted to talk real ball and talk a little depth chart and position battles still left to be decided.
Harper vs Borderlon at LG is an obvious one
Probably some WR pecking order to figure out
Backup DE’s behind Ross/Prince
Any others I’m missing?

Great question.
First time in a long time I couldn't even tell you who's the favorite to start at some positions. Including WR.

These are the big ones, but defensive tackle is going to be one to keep an eye on. Anderson and Geralds, two true freshmen, were getting first team reps at times during the spring. You paid up for two P4 starters to come in at that spot. Still have Big Dom McKinley there as well.
I'd also add cornerback behind Woodland and Pickett. That area is a major concern for me.
Defensive depth across the board seems to be the biggest issue with the team heading into the 2026 season. Feels like key injuries at corner, linebacker, or safety could sink things on that side of the ball.

The rotation of the running backs will be interesting. Keeping all three happy will be a challenge.

RBs will be a fun one to watch.
By all accounts the new kid from Wisconsin is turning heads.
Kiffin runs the ball a lot though, so I think all 3 backs will have their touches.

His RB and WR rotation at Ole Miss was almost non-existent. I wonder if that holds true at LSU.

after watching the film of our new starting QB from game film last year against MSU and Texas, I am sure hoping our new backup QB's are not far behind. If that ankle goes bad and our QB can't scramble/run, then I don't know what our offense is going to look like. Hoping Kiffin can work magic with all the new QB's.

Not worried about linebackers. We are very deep. Some of them haven't been tested but the talent is there.

I disagree here. I am worried about the backers outside of Weeks and Dottery. Keys showed flashes, but had some really bad drives last year as well. We need to stay healthy here.

DT, between Geralds (likely starter) and then Blocton and Big Rich Anderson competing for the other spot. Green and Dom likely rotational players. Also by the way Kiffin talks about Lamar Brown don’t be surprised if he immediately splits snaps with Jordan Ross at EDGE

He's certainly been inconsistent in the past. Will have some plays and games where he looks all-world, then other days he's really played some abysmal football.
I have faith Kiffin will get the most out of any QB though and Leavitt certainly has a lot of physical talent.
WRs and RBs are stacked with talent, it'll be interesting to see who emerges. As someone else mentioned, Kiffin tends to pick his horses in those spots and ride them without a ton of rotation. I think he'll use Harlem Berry in some unique ways though outside of the backfield, at least I hope he does.

Feel like I know less about this team than any other Tiger team in my adult life. Got a few tidbits from spring but I’m used to knowing a lot more about the team at this point.

You’re not worried about Dottery but Keys? You do know they basically had the exact same season, except one started less games and graded out 5pts+ higher. The linebackers will be fine it’s the Dline because if they can’t get any pressure then we can only assume it’ll look like last season defensively but the talent is there, I want to see who the first 4 are DT the DT spot
