trying to come up with five cant miss things in BR and sadly makes me realize just how lame BR is outside of lsu sports

here's a shot at it though:

1. Go downtown and walk the levee and then around 3rd street for the evening.

2. Go eat at Jubans

3. Go eat at Parrains

4. Chimes for beers

5. Walk the campus

1) GAMEDAY Tailgate around campus/Tiger cage/ WALK ONS after game/ Tigerland or dtown after WALK ONS

2) Chimes night before game is super fun- Chimes in general is a must

3) Riding bikes around campus, lakes and all the way to state capitol (makes you realize how nice BR really is. (take the levy towards dtown and state capitol and avoid the under developed areas going towards dtown)

4) Tsunami roof top at sunset on Thursday or Friday night followed by bar hoping downtown

5) ROULS Burger after game! Juicy Juicy! or pluckerz

Well, you can't miss the poverty, trash on the roads and general unkempt conditions of roadways, bridges and overpasses. Unless you close your eyes when going through town.

Seriously, though, get out a ways and try the tubing on the Amite, casual crabbing off the beach on the north shore, pick strawberries in Hammond, tour Abita Springs brewery, tour Plantation Alley, tour the state capital and go up to the 27th floor observatory.

L'auberge is a nice casino. My friends and I have walked out negative almost every time though on roulette.
