And we'll see when Brady gets hired by one of them or any other major college again in his coaching career.

If you have never met him, why take up for him so much? If you knew him personally, you wouldn't say these things. He is a horrible person and coach.

Coaching is an up and down business. Billy Donavan won back to back national titles and might be out of the field of 65 for the 2nd year in a row.

That being said, it was time for Brady to move on. I honestly feel that Trent Johnson is a better fit for this team. The communication that the players and TJ have is the best it has been since Dale Brown was coach.

I thank Brady for a wonderful Final 4 run, but we have the best coach for the job right now.

I agree. I stated over a year ago it was time for Brady and LSU to part company. Now we will see over the next 4-5 years if Trent is the one to carrythe program further. First impressions are great, but let's give him a few years one way or the other.

Yes, but he also made 9 straight NCAA appearances and 11 consecutive postseason appearances overall.

They might be down, but they haven't just completely fallen off the face of the earth after each success - something that Brady did every single time.

If you can prove any of this then bring it. Otherwise be quiet.

I remember Mo Carter rimming out a 3 that would have beaten UK in the 98 home finale, I believe. Felt really bad for him - he deserved for it to drop with all that he had been through... team has come a long way since though

He has done a better job in his 1st year than Brady did his WHOLE time here.

Pretty good post. For what it is worth, I liked Brady as a coach until the last few seasons. About the time I thought he needed to go.......he did. I am excited about Coach Trent though. If he stays at LSU, I really think we can stay planted in the top 25 year in year out and maybe even become a powerhouse basketball program. His recruiting will be the only question IMO.

Dude, I'm no Brady apologist. I laughed and breathed a sigh of relief when he was fired. I am extemely happy with the job Trent is doing thus far. I do expect more than 1 year of perfomance before crowning him the 2nd comming. Walk away from the keyboard for a few minutes, clear you rheadand return with coherent thoughts.

I agree this is probably the worst sticky in the history of the Rant - at least as far back as September 2005 when I came along.

John Brady deserves about as much credit for this year as Gerry Dinardo did for Nick Saban's and Les Miles' success with the football team.

If Brady had been on the bench Saturday at Rupp, this team would have gotten hammered while he sat there with his bug eyes and jowls bulging out.

Trent Johnson is a REAL basketball coach and he's making the difference in this program.

This threadstarter was just another Tiger20 handjob for John Brady.

Now unsticky this, please.
