that occurred on the targeting play. Two LSU players did a quick little very moderate non taunting choregraphed type celebration together after the interception and each was called separately and each penalty enforced separately for unsportsmanlike conduct. Has anyone ever seen or recall this penalty being enforced in this manner on a post play celebration? I've seen more than just 2 players doing a group type celebration after a big play and have never seen the penalty assessed, totaled up, and then marked off in this manner. Was this a first? Ref seemed very very angry at LSU.

2 individual dead ball fouls...

not a first...

I had a game YEARS ago that had 4..

and I believe for the SEC and ACC this type of stuff is a point of emphasis..

and LSU has had some shenanigans post play already this year.. so you can bet when crews are pre-gaming this is part of the discussion - to nip it in the bud....

Not a fan of the rule... if there is a “team” penalty, max enforceable should be 15 yards IMo.

Those penalties didn't bother me at all after the shenanigans from Miss St before, during and after last year's game in Starkville.

For the same celebration? So if 8 guys partake in a group pic celebration, they are assessed 120 yards in penalties? I call B.S. I’ve never seen it called like that.

.

but they didn't have any cumulative unsportsmanlike penalties assessed against them in that game even though they celebrated big plays

Ya know I commented to my wife last Saturday night I had never seen multiple fouls like that called, but yeah I don't see how they could call that on individual players like that!

that's exactly why they were flagged

Yep. How about handing the ball to the ref instead of going full retard

so you thought it was some kind of "courage" to call a 60 yard penalty on one play?

yes I know, want to know if anyone has ever seen something like that assessed and then cumulatively marked off? Any time I ever saw something like that it received one 15 yard penalty.

dunno... hadn't seen that yet but the rule and enforcement though it could work out that way.. the odds of 8 being silly enough to do that are slim though...

I guess Georgia should have been penalized 675 yards in 2007 when most of the team ran on the field vs Florida in the Gator Bowl.

No..
UNS 1 was the guy that scored - threw the ball at the guy chasing him thrown by Back Judge

UNS 2. player near 10 yard line giving middle finger and yelling magic words at team B's cheer leaders.. thrown by side judge

Uns 3... player near goal line acting like a fool and taunting the player that got hit with the ball. thrown by back judge and field judge

Uns 4... Player near 40 leaving field turns to opposing team and grabs crotch.... and... thrown by me.. I had no idea the other 3 were thrown at this point...

it was a very long PAT attempt... not courage - just enforcing the rule

in addition to the non targeting targeting foul, I think this ref was just very angry and wanted to show his arse

4 separate penalties, AFTER one play.. dead ball fouls are enforced like that.. amazing what reading a rule book can do for your football knowledge....
