I stopped beating the Les Miles drum September 26, 2005 on a hot arse monday night where Les blew a 21 point lead against Tenn.

I knew LSU screwed up with the hire.

He doesnt have the killer instinct to play in the SEC. He would make a great big 10 hire but not SEC.

Wow those threads are hilarious.

Everyone loves him in that thread. And suddenly no one likes him now? Where were all those people back then? So people always hated him but it wasn't cool to post about hating him back then so they didn't do it?

Jeez dude. He's our coach for one more year. Might as well accept it and get on board.

I remember being skeptical of the hire, but a new coach needs to be given a few seasons to show what he's made of. Because of this, I didn't really criticize him, even though I was worried that the team was losing discipline. But they kept winning. Now the truth is rearing its ugly head since the luck (and discipline) began to run out, and the entire nation (except for the seriously delusional) can see Les Miles for what he is - a very highly paid, mediocre coach.

I have the want
Just don't have the faith.

Hopefully Les and Co can change that this year. One of the other. Would like Les to be here another decade, just don't see it happening.

i had 3 people with me that night, i was so disgusted i left the game (people i was with stayed) & listened to the rest of the game in my truck when miles started to play for overtime with 1:52 left in the game & 2 time outs, when he called 2 running plays with addia & a rollout with russell. when he gave up in that game so did i. i will never forgive him for that game. he lost me right there.

So what did you think when he went the rest of the regular season without losing a game?

Did you forgive Saban for losing to UAB?

That game turned out to be utterly meaningless. Get over it.

lsu was not 1 year removed from a n.c. when they lost to uab. not making an excuse, but the program was nowhere close in 2005 as it was in 2000. also saban followed that with a sec title the next year & a n.c. 3 yrs later, just as he did with losing to monroe with bama in 07. he was building both programs at the time, & look what followed, i will take that. & i'm sure bama fans will take a loss to monroe if it means a sec & n.c. to follow.

it doesn't matter if it was meaninless, the point is he gave up in that game, that is the problem i have.

You are kidding, right? You remember the circumstances around that game?
If you are serious then all I can say is that you are a hopeless jackass. Go out and shoot youself in the head. You have no brain in there.

I dont give a shite...LSU should never lose to a UAB...at home...during homecoming. Ever
There were alot of players on that team that ended up going pro.

But LSU fans won't take a loss to UT (not ULM) if it means an sec & nc to follow.

Nice job making these threads during recruiting season. I am sure you tards are convincing the recruits who are on the fence to consider committing elsewhere.

From the first link:

quote:

I was kind of upset about losing to UGA in the SECCG that year until I saw what we did to The U, and what West Virginia did to UGA in the Sugar Bowl. At that point I realized that with Katrina and Rita and all that went with it, our boys were just flat out tired when they played UGA. And I realized I owed Les Miles an apology.
