Were we charged with a timeout when the refs misplaced the ball?

That is, just before the two point conversion...did the refs misplace the ball?

What's the rule here?

I think lsu has to tell the ref if they want the ball on the hash and because we didn't tell them we had to call a timeout to get the ball moved.

Thanks.

Also, a great learning experience for Jennings at the end of the day didn't cost us.

I didn't understand either. Wisconsin was substituting and I thought Jennings was complaining to the ref about allowing them too much time to sub.

You have to tell them where to place the ball before they set it, we didn't and we wasted a timeout...thank god we actually converted otherwise rant EXPLOSION

More confusion from a Les Miles sideline. I've never seen a coach not be able to effectively tell the ref where he wanted the ball on a 2 pt conversion. That information is supposed to be relayed long before 20 seconds are left on the play clock.

the rant exploded anyway...they couldn't understand why we would waste a TO to simply spot the ball on the left hash, when clearly the reason was the 2 pt play was designed for the ball to be on that hash.

and yes AJ, or whomever failed in originally having the ball spotted there to begin with.

How a out a Wisconsin player jumping off the sideline and into the fumble pile and absolutely no call what so ever?

because it wasn't seen. He didn't jump into the pile, he got excited and crowded the scrum. It was on their sideline and the whistle had blown.

And it had nothing to do with anything else in this thread
