it's only natural to remain highly skeptical. Spin it and call it negative if it makes you feel better. Ensminger hasn't developed quarterbacks or substantially run an offense in a very long time. He did a nice job last season in the interim though, so I have to credit him there. He may do an awesome job, and Oldman Sullivan may be the perfect compliment. This we will root hard for.

I don't expect it will work out. But, I'll be rooting for them. It won't be hard.

Do a lot of you not realize that every possible scenario y’all can come up with regarding LSU Football and how terrible they’re going to be has been rehashed at least 25x over since Ensminger has been hired

We get it.

Who’s tutoring Brennan and Narcisse?

I mean, do they have a proven QB coach bringing them along?

I read that Ensminger called the Texas A&M Game. Ensminger knows how to develop QB's he was a QB.

Ensminger will be the best OC we have had in a long long time. He is going to surprise a whole bunch of people. He hasn't been an OC for years but it isn't because he can't do it.

Can't wait for him to prove so many wrong. Although most of them will never admit it when the time comes.

You think he goes 10-2 or better next season?

Because that’s the minimum.

Well, if it's any consolation, Aranda believes Ensminger is a better play caller than Canada, and he should know since he schemed against both their offenses the past two seasons.

Not to mention, there has been a strong rumor ever since O first mentioned Ensminger in that press conference immediately after the A&M game that it was Ensminger who called the plays in that game, and that was LSU's best offensive outing by far last season, as Etling had over 300 yards passing in that game.

I don't know if that rumor is true but a lot of people believe it is true because it explains why O threw out his name immediately following that game. Not to mention, that O never wavered since, as he said Ensminger back then and it ended up being Ensminger.

Furthermore, O, Aranda, and Ensminger are The Three Musketeers as they are all each other's best friends. I see it as O surrounding himself with the two people he trusts and respects the most, which can only be a good thing.

A lot of people believe O is a bumbling idiot who doesn't have the first freaking clue what he is doing. Thus, they see it as O being a retard.

In any event, Ensminger proved that he can take someone else's playbook and learn it almost instantly, as he did with Mile's playbook in 2016. And if that rumor is true, he learned Canada's playbook too and called the plays in the A&M game.

Hence, it should be easy for him to learn and install that RPO offense with three to four wideouts he says he is planning to install, and O said it is going to be a lot easier for the players to learn as compared to the Canada offense.

Finally, as he said, he is very familiar with the players and their capabilities that are on this team and he said it because he believes he is the best person available to tailor an offense that will match their capabilities.

Hence, I have a lot of confidence in his abilities, not only because O endorses him, but because Aranda endorses him as well.

I don't know what the record will be but 10-2 would be my guess if I was forced to make a prediction.

LSU starts the season off with one lose (Alabama) since the refs aren't going to allow an upset there to happen. One other loss is probable and two loses with some bad luck is also not out of the question.

We will all have to sit back and wait and see.

If Auburn, A&M, Tenn, Florida etc had hired Steve E as their OC you would be laughing your arse off at what a weak hire it was and you know it.

I'm skeptical, but not highly skeptical. Should have more offensive talent in 2018.

Loaded defense, talented offense.

It was Ensminger who coached up Danny Etling in 2016. Furthermore, Canada wanted Myles to start and play last season, but it was Ensminger and O that insisted on Etling starting and playing last season instead.

O experimented in the Troy game and let Myles play for an extended period of time, which was his longest outing of the season. Then late in the game, they reinserted Etling and he almost led the team back to a come from behind victory. Ever since that game, O nixed most of Canada's requests for Myles to enter the games.

Not to mention, that Ensminger played Quarterback at LSU and a couple of years in the NFL and he also coached quarterbacks for many years during his long career. After the 2016 season, I believe he knows what he is doing. Indeed, I think he is going to surprise a lot of people.

Here is more of what Aranda says about Ensminger since you think it is a joke.

Steve is a schemer. He knows strengths and weaknesses in defenses and knows ways to exploit those weaknesses. The players love playing for him. They are motivated by him and want to excel for him.
