Milazzo had already replaced Neal. They just didn’t notice it

Milazzo was already in the game. He replaced Frey after he pinch hit for Neal earlier.

He wasn’t a pinch hitter.

He was a defensive replacement with our big one run lead.

you do bring in replacements in tight games. Neal played like shite the entire game and was responsible for 2 runs minimum

Defensive replacement and if our pitchers do their job, we don't get to the bottom of the 9th for Milazzo to bat.

That, was a dumb move in my opinion! But I'm not a baseball coach with a National Championship under my belt so...I'll give Jay the benefit of the doubt.

He was already in the game. He was a defensive replacement for Neal earlier when LSU had the lead who played like crap the entire game. Should have never been there to start when his AB came up. Pitchers failed again.

Johnson put him in because he knows they always win when he plays

He was already in the game. It was not a pinch hit. Neal was pinch hit for and Milano went in for defense after that

Why are you spewing shite? How many runs was Neal responsible for on all those freaking passes balls? That kid can’t block for shite and they ran all over his arse. You won’t admit that Neal was responsible for at least 2 runs because of his defense.

This is a shite take. Substituting Milazzo last night with a close lead was the right move. Neal can't hit shite right now and was atrocious behind the plate. The frickup was using Frey too early and not having him to either PH for Milazzo at the end or at least having him to catch and PHing for Milazzo with someone else. Hell, I'd have pinch hit for Milazzo anyway and had Jones catch and moved someone else to 1st if we'd wound up tying it and going to extras.

I agree that Milazzo shouldn't have been the last out. But it was the other moves that lead to that that were more egregious imo. Subbing him for Neal was the right call with the way that game was going.

Tongue firmly in cheek Carl

Though a defensively replacement that can’t catch the ball is an oxymoron

How many did he have and how many bases they took off of him? He is 10X better behind the plate. You think catching is all about blocks too. So stupid.

Do I believe Neal is a better prospect? YEP.

Do I think he is better right now? Nope.

Johnson’s issue is he is enamored by the number potential in OPS between the 2. That was a left handed reliever BTW.

Haha

Bases are taken on the pitcher

Milazzo has regressed defensively, it’s pretty obvious

Not last night dumbass. There was a double steal and a run or 2 scored and that was on Neal. They stole THIRD TWICE ON HIM. THIRD. Damn man. You’re dumb as a box of rocks
