They look big, but they have virtually no experience. The line will take its licks against the experienced older offensive lineman this year. I think by next year the Defensive tackles are going to be a bright spot.

My concerns ate gone from a physical stand point. Some of the young dlinemen just weren't physically ready. Just looking at them you can tell they've put on muscle and shed some of the baby fat. Then you see guys like chi, who has packed on muscle and will need that against some of the physical corners. So again, physically some of the young guys look ready to compete and give us downs. Whether they actually perform is another story.

some of these guys still have a lot of calf work to put in before we can crown their asses champions.

No they weren't. Let's see, the LBs were terrible, the corners were weak most of the year, and the safeties sucked. Have you ever heard of Occam's Razor? It's the philosophical principal that the simplest explanation is probably correct.
So, we can believe that all of the position groups listed above suddenly got bad, or that the DT's played poorly for most of the year, and the lack of pressure caused everyone to look bad. Simple...and correct.
The Linebackers were bad, Nancy. Deal with it.

it doesn't make my concerns vanish but they do look much better physically than they did as freshman....anyone who follows recruiting knows that these guys are very talented.
the biggest concerns coming out of high school:
bain - too much baby fat, which is now gone
gilmore - needed to put on good weight, which he has done
godchaux - was a tweener but now has added a lot of bulk and is a clear cut monster DT
herron - needs to drop baby fat, he has done so but needs to cut more
thomas - a little slow and overweight, which from everything i am hearing, he is solid muscle now
i want to see it with my own 2 eyes but these guys have put in the work to be great

jesus. did you even read what you typed?
We will win the bodybuilding contest, "pose down".
Because, latent homos think our players "look good".
Let's see if they "play good".

Our secondary will be the best in the country from a talent standpoint, cover skills, and athleticism. If we can get strong leadership from our safeties, good communication and proper assignments on coverage, have that captain back there a la Eric Reid we will be really good!

Freak's not taking off plays this year. We stacked.

If they are physically ready for snaps that's a huge part of the battle to me because the biggest weakness last year was how many snaps the front line had to play.
I'm hoping the defense is able to get back to a rotation of DL nearing the dozen mark.
Ego and Freak may not have met expectations last year, but they certainly weren't helped at all by the amount of time they had to spend on the field.

This.
It's the same story every year. We see pictures and videos of August practices and everyone's expectations skyrocket.
Then the first few games occur and reality starts to settle in.
