Well it could be worse. We could have hired Napier and retained Raymond.

Bayou Billy lost to UK yesterday. 2 years in a row

His offense is as bad as House's D, but he runs the offense.

As much as y’all talk about O leaving the program in disarray, Florida was even worse off when Sunbelt Billy was hired there

I wouldn't mind having Raymond on staff right now.

It’s kind of depressing looking back and having these two as the main candidates.

Difficult to not think there’s a substantial drop off after 3-5 coaches.

Hoping we get jamar Cain back in the fold and love the Chevis Jackson idea. Lance Guidry is an option. We can’t replace Kelly yet but there are far better defensive assistants than what we have

He inherited a top 5 drafted pick at QB

Most of the time the options are not that great and it’s a major crapshoot.

If O wasn’t hired the other option was Mike McIntire

You go back and look at the history of LSU coaching searches and there are some misses there for sure but most of the other options would have probably been worse.

Napier was never a candidate.

He was a media creation b/c he promised guys like Jordy access if he became the coach (the Coach O playbook, which Jordy was also a useful idiot in implementing). Add that with a bunch of sore ULL fans, and it seemed like he was on the radar (he was not).

After he left there were reports Kelly and House didn't want to retain him b/c the technique he taught wasn't what they wanted

Who looked terrible last year b/c of Napier's shitty offense.

Indeed sunbelt Billy would be worse but a cheaper mistake.

Our O is at least good.

If BK had said no they were hiring Mark Stoops. Absolutely no telling how well he’d do here.

He also has the #4 recruiting class and Kentucky is good

The real hire should have been Dan Lanning.

Defensive mastermind, young hungry, has been around Kirby and Saban.

He was a low floor high ceiling guy. Outside of Saban and Meyer it’s either high floor low ceiling like BK and Mark stoops or a gamble.

Scotty took it in baseball but not in football

Stoops offense is usually not good enough but his D is good.

I do like their oc though so with him here might be ok.

Not as bad as your narrative suggests. His stats were very comparable to JDs last year.

Kentucky 5-0 and better than ole miss. And napier can recruit better.
Not to mention Raymond is the best secondary recuiter in the country while we have zero talent back there.
You are wrong

Raymond is 100 percent why our secondary is a-hole.

If he is the best why didn’t he recruit his last 2 years here.

BK isn’t great but these sunbelt Billy lovers are pathetic

Nothing like taking solace in your 3-2 team because another team is 3-2.
