for the first time in many years watching that Cincy game. i have been purely LSU only fan for last 3 to years but sat down and watched Joe burrow start slow with help mainly due to bad oline . Pipped in crowd noise , no one in the stands and still mad Joe burrow got robbed at the end. I think even after a few bad passes especially the pitch int Joe looked like LSU Joe on that last drive. He is gonna be a good one. Remember this guy has no preseason games and timing with receivers will take a few more games. i will be watching every cincy game this year.

He's definitely fearless with the ball, both good and bad

He obviously didn’t light it up, but I thought overall - with the exception being that pitch INT - he was pretty poised. I’d say it was an okay first NFL game for him, which is good.

Would’ve liked for the Bengals to have had at least 1-2 timeouts for that final drive.

He needs more time

he needs better play calling

they didn't trust him on 3rd downs, burned all time outs..

bad coaching

kicker injured himself

They always let WR’s push off on those routes. Awful time to reverse course

Refs took away a fantastic storybook ending to that game. Rookie starts. No preseason. Leads team to win with 80 yard drive with 3 min left and no timeouts. bullshite. Probably the correct call but could have been no call.

That was as light of a push off as it gets.

Seemed like he was under center more in that game than all of last year.

Same here - There at the end, we were cheering like it was an LSU game.

Have to say, when it didn't go the 'good guy's' way, it didn't bug me as much though.

What a strange ending with the kicker injuring himself while missing the game ending kick. I would have loved to see how Joe performed in OT.

I would be "injured" too if I missed a 31 yd FG to tie a game in the NFL

Lebron was embarrassed by the DBs flop

I thought the same thing. I wonder how much was real and how much was acting after he saw he had missed it.

63 % completions isn't too bad, especially with an O line that sucks.

I didn't see the game, but I read somewhere on this board that he did a bunch of shovel passes. If so, 63% would be very poor - not for a first game rookie, but for a regular NFL QB.
