We are the worst #1 seed evah! ah, those were the days...

I am with Broke on this one. LSU starting pitching was average in game one and UT's starter Ruffin dominated until pulled from the game, then LSU's bullpen outperformed UT's down the stretch. UT's batters were ripping it pretty good early in both game 1 & 2. Tonight UT's starter was lights out and LSU's pretty much stank, as many had concerns about. One can't keep giving a quality opponent large leads early in games and expect to pull W's out of their asses late. I am a huge fan of Schimpf, but he has not done diddly his last 6-7 AB's, lot of watched strikes have gone past him since that solo HR in game 1. Lead off triple and no attempt to get the man in? What was that? And a junior leaves the bag early right in front of the ump? The Tigers need to do a mental dump and come out playing at the first pitch in game 3 and not hope for late game heroics. How about putting some pressure on UT all game long instead of being the pressured team?

I am enjoying how I can say nothing positive or negative just post the stats for 2 teams and fans are bashing me. I am finding it rather funny that opinions matter more than actual stats.

If someone has one bad game, we suck. I've seen people dogging Dean on hitting tonight. Just tons of things like that, all year. It gets old on one hand, but I guess it's nice to know that there are passionate fans out there, on the other hand.

Ranaudo > Green
We definitely have the advantage tomorrow. We have a better pitcher and we have better hitters. We should win.

Well people dogging on Helenhi all CWS but the dude is in there for a reason. Against texas fans are acting like he is only one not hiting and is an automatic out. I hate to say it there are lots of LSU hitters not hitting or we would be batting higher than .214.
LSU fans do take the cake among fans, to be mad is one thing but personally attack someone who is old enough to be some of these peoples kid, best friend, brother is just absurb. People hating on Dean are really just idiots since he is one of 3 LSU players who actually has 2+ hits against Texas in the 2 games.

I haven't seen the better hitters yet. LSU got a couple of timely hits in game one, and flat out got beat tonight. Bradshaw and Cain were great, but that was too little too late. UT has been a lot more consistent at the plate and sure as hell has generated more power. With the exception of J Mitchell and DJ who have been stellar, who has outperformed UT's mini-bats?

LSU batting .214
Texas batting .276
LSU has struck out more and left more men on base

And has played from behind the vast majority of two games, it's not a winning combo.

My God, you are laughably buttfrick stupid on this topic.. Texas scored all of 6 runs in 11 innings Monday, but they took us out to the woodshed.
Jungman was awesome tonight. 1 game series now. Can't wait to see who steps up.

Like I said last night, this is two HEAVYWEIGHTS slugging it out and it's a thing of beauty. It's an old, tired cliche, but it really is a shame that one of these teams has to lose. Both play with such amazing passion and seem to eat pressure by the shovel full. I jumped the idiot johnny come lately Horn fans last night who were saying "we choked" and all that BS. Your team WON that game, Texas did not give it away. Tonight, Texas WON the game. It's too bad when people miss the absolute majesty of what we are all witnessing because of petty insecurities. This is one for the ages and this Horn fan is damned proud that LSU is in this with us. I wouldn't want it any other way, After tomorrow night, one fan base will be proud and happy and the other will be proud. No hate from this Longhorn, I love your team.
Hook'em and Geaux Tigers!!!

I'm with ya.........You don't get lucky in baseball........everything that happens is created by timely hitting, pressure, and pitching........
Texas had their pitching tonight.........we didn't hit........
I'm more upset that this got damn rant stays up here stickied yet when I get a call from a coach at Destrehan and post that Tim Molton is out for season my got damn post disappears.

Definitely.
I'm not sure how we got our asses torn up and got the smack down laid on us as he said, in game that we WON.

In a game we won by grit, determination and overcoming adversity; the championship way......
No one with a brain thought Texas was gonna pack it in especially with a great pitcher on the mound.....

I'm no Orel Hershiser, but I do know a few things about baseball:
1) runs in the 9th count pretty much the same as runs in the 4th
2) 2-run doubles count for more runs than solo homeruns. Twice as many, actually
3) 7>6
