Groom: The bitch is playing you for a fool. Your life will be hell until the day you drop her manipulative arse.

Best Man: I mean, it he really that good of a friend? You have to spend $100+ renting a cheesy tux that his future MIL picked out. frick him and everyone who looks like him.

Father of the Bride: If you don't have any better control over your bratty kid than this, you were a crappy father anyway. Go to the game, she will respect your independence.

Father of the Groom: Ditto.

Attendee: Inconsiderate idiots want you to chip in for a gift too? Just buy them a goddam blender and go to the reception after the game is over.

I say we all phone our local representatives and ask for a law banning weddings from September 1st to February 1st.

He only her doormat because he allows it. If he isn't comfortable voicing his opinion he's a little bitch.

You can't blame the father for his grown daughter picking a shitty wedding date.

Just go to the event that's more important to you- end of story. People that get married on saturdays in the fall should expect a low turnout

Curious, what game are they getting married on?

I had to quit playing music because I hated missing Tigah games so much. I watched the 07 florida game from the stage at a crappy festival in Reserve.

sis-in-law is getting married on the sat after the Thursday game ... she's 49 and never been married. I not so jokingly told her when she told us she was getting married to check the football schedule. Seriously, I did.

My boys know better and so does my daughter. July is a FINE time for a wedding!

I missed my cousin's wedding in 07 for the UF game. He didn't talk to me for about a year after that, but when he did he told me he was mad but it didn't surprise him.

Got a buddy getting married Oct 1 this year, but is setting up a 110" projector at the reception to watch the game.

I'll be in the woods hunting anyway. Maybe I just don't like going to weddings.

The man needs to take charge and go with a preemptive strike. Have your shot together, after all you know when you are proposing, she doesn't (shouldn't in most cases). Check the damn schedule get the right date set and hit her with the plan as soon as she says YES. She will be so excited/impressed she will agree immediately. Example we got had rehearsal on friday late after the Arkansas game. However the triple ot loss put a he'll of a damper on the rehearsal. Then bam got married on Saturday. just get your stuff straight.

This is a subject on which church leaders should opine. I can see it being a reform issue for Vatican III.

This is the key. For the rest of your life, you're going to have issues making it to games because of this decision.

I got married in December. September-November and the 2nd weekend in April (Masters weekend) were off limits.
