I was just saying generally. Opening day gumbo is a rarity at home because it's usually a hundred degrees.

Don't know where you are from, but it is never too hot for gumbo.

These dick-measuring contests are pretty humorous.

I think most everyone can draw the conclusion that both fan bases like to have a good time before, during, and after games.

agreed...kind of a strange thing to take pride in, really...

ETA: I mean, how the hell could anyone possibly tell which fans drank the most?

Agreed. (Aside from the fact that we know Minnesota fans can't drink for shite.)

I keep seeing comment after comment about LSU fans out-drinking us. First, taking pride in alcohol consumption is ridiculous, but it does give me a sad sense of pride. You're not out-drinking us. It's cute you think so. The average Wisconsinite can out-drink the average person from any other state. Look at any list of alcohol consumption. Look at the list of party schools. I saw one comment from someone on this board along the lines of "we're coming for your booze." Hey, we'll share it and then when you're passed out from drinking too much, we'll finish the booze.

I'll be there and really don't care to out drink anyone. I did drink 4 liters in Germany once, but I was in no shape to do anything...much less enjoy a ball game. I will be drinking, but only to enjoy myself. On a final note, Louisiana and the people that live here aren't just different from any other state, we are different from any other part of this planet. This can be both a good and bad thing. With the traveling Tiger supporters, that's usually a great thing. If you don't believe me, ask the Wasington, WVU, and Syracuse fans. What can we say, we love a good time!

You're near Door County. Try a Wisconsin fish boil instead. You can have gumbo the rest of the year.
