Nothing like an opinion based on nothing aside from the fact that you're clearly a blowhard.

If it was 107.5 in GB, none of those guys know crap about UW sports. They know their Packers football but certainly not UW football.

The Badgers aren't ranked, but I strongly believe they're a better team than they were to end last year when they were rankey. The OLine solidified well last year and they're a year more experienced. The D front seven will be very good. WRs aren't going to blow anyone away but will be solid, I believe. TE will be a strength. QB will be a lot like WR, serviceable. Corners will be good. The only considerable question mark, I believe, is at the safety position, particularly FS.
I believe the reason they're not ranked (believe they're 28th, give or take) is due to the schedule. Ultimately no one, particularly outside our fan base, thinks they'll do better than 6-6 or 7-5 due to the schedule. I think most are ranking them strongly based on expectations.
Like one poster said, we'll see in a couple days.

I keep coming back to one of you, a few weeks back, making fun of Badgers fans for wearing t-shirts prior to / at the game in Houston. Sporting khakis and polo shirts is so, so much more lame.

Are you guys serious? This has been answered so many times on this board. Not to mention, all you have to do is go to the event at packers.com and find the info.

This is entirely accurate, but have you tried their "new" rye? It's actually pretty good.
I have indeed, and it is very good, although I don't necessarily agree with Murray labeling it the whiskey of the year.
My Crown comments are kind of an inside joke making fun of many of my fellow Louisianians.
Fair enough. And in total agreement about the whiskey of the year aware. I would guess there is a lot of money and politics in that type of award.

Better hope your new tackles on the O line can hold up against our linebackers..
Yea because seeing an NFL level MLB everyday at practice doesn't get you ready for solid college LBs.
Not sure that's terribly relevant. He's talking about LSU's tackles and referring to UW's OLBs, two of whom will be in the NFL as well.

I'm curious about the 10 am rule
Will not fly with LSU fans
Hopefully these rules don't apply for private off lot tailgates
I'm pretty certain that's the Lambeau parking lot. The private lots and especially the houses will be taking people much earlier. They have to accommodate the people coming for Gameday, so stuff will be open.
I don't think it's anything to worry about. We start tailgating at least four hours before Packers' games, include noon games. Never had an issue in multiple lots. That said, I haven't tailgated in the actual Lambeau lots for a decade, but I think they open super early. Otherwise Oneida, Lombardi, and several other streets would be at a standstill.
And to respond to the OP, just drive around the stadium area. There are dozens (maybe hundreds) of lots, yards, etc. in which to park and tailgate.
re: Brewery Tours in Milwaukee
Posted by Sleepyhed97 on 8/22/16 at 11:55 am to LSU26TMH
Lakefront is the most fun/best one easily. If you're there Friday, go early and stay for the fish fry. MKE Brewing Company is the second best. That tour itself isn't as fun as Lakefront but you pretty much have an open bar for like an hour or so after the tour. Like he said, you can get a good buzz on that one.

This is erroneous. As it was in '14, this is a neutral game site despite the state.

The difference is our talent can overcome mistakes. Example would be a blown coverage, our speedy DB recovers and catches their WR. That's the edge talent gives you that can't be coached. We will be fine.
UW fans hear the speed card every single game leading into every SEC or Pac12 opponent. Fans. ESPN. Never gets old. I'm the only one that remembers Love outrunning the entire LSU defense in '14? That never should have happened according to every SEC fan or ESPN analyst ever. The blanket "all of our DBs are faster than any of your WRs" statement, or vice versa, is garbage. That's like saying our OLine are huge farm boys so your front seven has no chance. It's just not good analysis. I won't argue that LSU has more or deeper talent or that LSU should win this game, but I'm so sick of the speed versus size argument.

WTH? Their run game definitely does not match up. They had their worst rushing performance in forever last year and the only thing that changed is that Clement should be healthy and run behind a better OL.
Clement was on the Heisman watch list going into last year. You're talking like he's just an average player. He'll get his behind a more experience OLine.
I don't think UW wins by any means, but I like how many of you think it will be a walk in the park. Being the underdog is fun.

Except for either the Vikings or the Cowboys. Isn't one of them banned for life from the hotel?

Brewery tour(s). I would go to Lakefront and to Milwaukee Brewing Co.
Harley Museum, Public Museum, Art Museum, Domes...
Bayview has some fantastic restaurants, particularly Vanguard, Centraal, Honeypie (breakfast), and Palomino.

I keep seeing comment after comment about LSU fans out-drinking us. First, taking pride in alcohol consumption is ridiculous, but it does give me a sad sense of pride. You're not out-drinking us. It's cute you think so. The average Wisconsinite can out-drink the average person from any other state. Look at any list of alcohol consumption. Look at the list of party schools. I saw one comment from someone on this board along the lines of "we're coming for your booze." Hey, we'll share it and then when you're passed out from drinking too much, we'll finish the booze.

Appleton - Flanagins is okay in a pinch but is expensive. If you can, just hit up Woodman's grocery store. Their liquor section is much, much bigger and easily has the cheapest prices. Note that they only take cash and debit cards though.

Avoid Neenah. Then again, I was born and raised there, so maybe it's one of those things. They do have an excellent bourbon bar just east of downtown though. That said, Appleton has plenty of places with good bourbon or whatever else you're in search of.
I've lived in Appleton for 15 years and live four blocks west of downtown, so I'll give you my suggestions.
As far as sports bars, the only one downtown that I care for is The Bar. On the east side of town there's a place called Game Day that's pretty decent.
Downtown:
Fox River House - My favorite bar. Good selection of beer, especially bottled. Skee Ball. Very nice patio.
The Ambassador - If you want top-shelf drinks, this is the place to go. I've gotten the best Old Fashioned and gin and tonic I've ever had there. They make their own bitters, have a great selection of beer (again, mostly bottled), and a great selection of liquor.
Olde Town Tavern - Has the odd combination of crappy beer (buckets for $7) and high-end liquor (bourbons and tequilas especially).
Bazils - Next to OTT and has the same kitchen/menu. They have at least 100 bottled beers and another 20 or so taps. They have a solid liquor selection too.
If you're a beer guy, definitely check out Stone Cellar, which is in the flats (walking distance just south of downtown). They are by far the best brewery in the city. Their food is also fantastic.
If you just want a huge selection, there is a World of Beer by the mall (west side of town (Grand Chute)). Fox River Brewing Company in the mall is a pretty good brewery and has decent food as well.
That should be enough to keep you busy/full/drunk.
On Wisconsin! Cannot wait for the tailgating and game.
