I don’t think it’s a bad idea to hire a non name brand coach as long as he’s a good football coach. It’s been working really well for other programs for a long time now. The other stuff you said was weird and irrelevant.

I’m glad you mentioned Landry being the best governor in the country at the top of the post. It told me right away that I didn’t need to bother reading the rest. But you got lots of responses anyway so good job.

I thought Kamala Harris was a lightweight if that satisfies you. But Donnie is mentally ill. Look up "malignant narcissism" and there are about 12 major symptoms of the disease...he has all 12 in spades. If you don't agree with that, then I will return the favor and call YOU a blowhard and a liar.

I would wager to say that we will not go 6-6 next season if we bring in the right pieces. However, next season was always going to be a step down from this one. That is why they went all-in this season but they shite the bed. Which is why Kelly and Woodward are let go.
They invest into the recruiting and transfer portal like they did this year and we actually have a staff that can develop the talented freshman and sophomores and young players on the roster we can be a good team next season and be back into the Playoff picture come 2027. They make the wrong hire then all this can be for nothing.
I don't see a situation where we land the Coach everyone is wanting or thinking about. That doesn't mean it will be a bad one but with the amount of jobs open this seems to be a situation where you have to find the right Coach who wants to be here not overpay for a Coach who will cash it in. I might buy the theory that LSU is not for the made man Coach but the young driven Coach who needs the opportunity to prove he is on an elite Coaching level.

NO BUYOUT + UNREALISTIC EXPECTATIONS = BAD HIRE.
6-6 is the best we do next year. From there it is a downhill vertex.
