5 are still ranked...but the other two were ironically top ten teams at the time, both on the road. Those wins should not be overlooked.

Which teams are playoff caliber when compared to Bama?

Seriously? Clemson and Michigan for one.

Clemson is undefeated with a true freshman QB throwing all over the yard, a heisman caliber RB, and a top 10 defense.

Michigan, after that first loss, on the road, game one, vs still undefeated Notre Dame, they've won 9 of their 10 games by 11+ points. They've also won 7 of their 10 games by 3 or more TDs.

Oklahoma can score on anybody, and Notre Dame would at least compete with Bama.

Why not? Because the offense is boring? Say specifically why.

People say that every year until they actually face an out of conference opponent with a legit defense.

Florida took advantage of our weaknesses; they have a solid D like usual even if it isn’t GREAT and they can run the ball well enough to burn us

I wouldn’t expect a radically different result even though I think we would win a rematch. It’d be a dog fight about ninety eight times out of one hundred games

Clemson, Oklahoma, Ohio St, Georgia all would give Bama a fight.

We'll probably see three of them, or someone else, try.

LSU chose to play a top ten team away from Tiger Stadium as its first game of the season. Bama played a team everyone knew was terrible

This is typical whiny-baby SEC-office-is-in-Birmingham BS. When Bama and LSU chose Louisville and Miami they appeared similar in strength. Turns out Louisville had a particularly weak team, and Miami was below average.

Technically, that’s two, but who’s counting?

I haaate losing to UF since the hubs is a graduate.

It's been a strange year. Due to Hurricane Michael and family issues that required us to be away from home, I've missed watching 5 games.

We've been listening to radio broadcasts, so it's been like the olden days before catv lol

a heisman caliber RB,

The running back Travis Etienne is good but no where close to being a heisman caliber. We missed on him but his production is in the ACC not the SEC. Heisman contenders do not finish the season as the 14th ranked RB.

LSU may very well be undefeated right now if they played in the ACC. Every players on LSU's team would have better stats.

Eat a dick. No one is complaining about the SEC office. The point is this year, partially due to LSU’s own decisions, partially due to Sec scheduling and partially due to chance, LSU had a tough schedule and navigated it well. The Committee recognizes that and gives thems credit for it.

Florida isn't terrible, but that was an inexcusable loss. The Tigers' offense looked great on the first drive (TD), we got 'em 3-and-out, Tigers' offense looked great on the second drive...til the FUMBLE!

What could have been...Tigers shouldn't have lost to Florida.
