nah, idgaf how good bama claimed to be the fact they lost AT HOME to us shoulda automatically kept them out of any natty if they had the same record as okie state. they had their shot and they blew it.
we walked out the georgia dome after whipping georgia and went to the omni center to eat at dantannas sports bar. all over the TV's said if okie state beats OU they will be in the natty. they got screwed. we got fricked.

That Alabama LSU game should never have happened. Our AD should have refused to play them. I have never said SEC SEC SEC in cheering for other SEC schools since that bloody game.

There is an even better reason. LSU finished the season #1 in the Anderson & Hester rankings, which is a recognized selecting organization by the NCAA.

You’re in the minority but I agree. Obviously 1908 too. Schools claim championships so much less credible than those two seasons.

Gundy didn't want a spot in that game. He didn't do the media tour to push the OK resume because he knew it would be a bloodbath and he was afraid Miles held a personal grudge over not being allowed to address his former team when he left. The way Gundy played turtle in 2011 remains the most cowardly thing I have ever seen in sports. He is not a man!!!

And it's stupid. If you're going to "claim" championships just because you think you had the best team , why not just claim 131 championships, one for each season LSU has played football?
Championships are awarded, not just "claimed". If you don't have a trophy, you don't have a championship.
