We finished 3rd because we absolute stunk the last 3 series of the year. We went 3-3 against the two teams battling for 12th place in the league. We played poor defense, pitched poorly, and the bats went silent for long stretches in those last 3 weekends.

Today’s bottom of the second inning is a prime example of the issues this team has. Coleman pitched well all inning and UGA still scored 2 runs to tie the game and give them life. Bad defensive positioning by the dugout, and bad fielding and throwing when we could get to a ball.

Arkansas got swept by this very same Georgia team we just played. It happens.
