ike the LSU ED AD said
Won’t be a home game not worth it for how small the stadium capacity is and not be a big time match if a P5 OOC team or an weaker SEC team wants to play their home game in Dublin then LSU would do it but LSU won’t play their home game knowing that they would lose extra home revenue they would generate when playing the game at tiger stadium.

Thats why you see these matchups being part of a home and home series cause most teams know its not worth having big time matchups / 1 and done games in a small capacity stadium and only guaranteed $2.5 million or less when you can play in a nfl stadium and make around $4 million to $5 million in guaranteed revenue

I would be cool with a game in London... the rest of you that don't like it can stay at home.

The Saints game was fun. London is one of my favorite cities so I would be there

Paris is the appropriate venue for LSU in Europe. We are just another team in Dublin/London… but we would be THE team in Paris.

Reception matters and the Irish are very receptive to these games and spend money. You can create international fans very easily

uestion is how many lsu fans would go to an international college football game

Plenty of Saints fans went to London and you can easily assume many are LSU fans

For what it is worth, the person I know at TAF and plans the fan packages said the ball is moving on this. Nothing set in stone but it is more than talk

IMO neutral site games suck. The travel is way too disruptive to the preseason routines to make it worth it. Irish people really don’t enjoy American visitors.

Why? There is a perfectly good stadium on Nicholson Drive.

No Sir.

We need to open in Tiger Stadium against a SWAC/HBCU school or a smaller "Southern" school with a great Band. (Jacksonville State, Troy State or Southern Miss.)

The football team gets a warm-up practice game to work the kinks out and the fans get an entertaining half-time show.

Is that so the LSU recruiting base can get all of those studs the UK produces?

Send the soccer or golf team instead.

What does playing in Dublin have to do with the UK?

I understand the recruiting and learning experience side of the trip, but is it actually worth it. LSU will probably lose between $6 million to $8 million in ticket revenue, parking, and concessions. As the D AD said already, LSU will never play their home game in Ireland. So as the away team, LSU won’t get a game guaranteed. Only thing LSU would get is all expenses paid and 5% of the merchandise. Iowa state and past away teams were only paid $250k to cover expenses and 5% of the merchandise sales.

My next question is why did Michigan decide, hey let’s play our home game vs a western Michigan team that is located less than 3 hours away, and let’s give up our on campus home game, to fly all the way between 8 to 10 hours to play in Germany.

In 2030 we’re playing in the first ever Cubano Cick Off Classic. Supposedly will be the biggest payday ever before seen!!! This inaugural game will be played yearly on the Sunday before Labor Day in a state of the art Billion Dollar brand new multi sport stadium in Havana Cuba.

Yes with our French heritage, we would appeal to the people and turn them into lsu fans.

I think it would be be Vanderbilt or Kentucky. Missouri wouldn’t give up a huge home campus game vs LSU, Arkansas is to big of a game for them so it would have to be either Vanderbilt or Kentucky. If we could get a 2024 Vanderbilt team every season moving forward then that would be a good Ireland game to go to , but other than that, it wouldn’t be a even matchup it’s a top half sec team vs a bottom of the pack sec team. But if I had to choose it would be Vanderbilt. Even thought Kentucky football dropped in the standings last few years they still have a huge fan base and a lot of people know that football isn’t Vanderbilts sport , so it would make sense for Vanderbilt to play in Ireland to help with recruiting. But at the same time Kentucky has a larger football fan base, so there will probably be a lot more Kentucky fans who would travel to Ireland, compared to a baseball University like Vanderbilt.

I know the big 12 has been trying to start a kickoff game in Mexico City at Estadio Azteca stadium 87k capacity.

You people that really think that LSU can just demand scheduling at will are the same that think LSU can just exist and have a national championship roster without a great coach and front office.

If lsu schedules an international game, should be played at a larger stadium so either Estadio Azteca in Mexico City,
Stade de France in Paris, Wembley stadium in London or in Madrid Spain.
