We may look back at these two plays

By Milam and Curiel as catalysts that helped flip the switch for this team.

Nope
If you watched the US - Italy game, there was a play by the centerfielder in the toughest play in the park after running a long ways catching a ball after the left fielder missed it. Incredible play that would have given the US a run eventually and an extra out in an inning where they rallied.

I’ll add in the Cerna granny as well. Baseball is a very streaky/emotional game for good and for bad. I know it’s a Tuesday night game against Creighton but we needed this.

It’s never about 1 or 2 plays if you’ve ever played this game. This isn’t new to anyone that actually played at a high enough level. Baseball is a game of failure. The same people were bitching last week about Curiel not being a CF. Milam’s CONSISTENT play is what we want. Spectacular plays are for sportscenter but won’t make or break your season unless you are in a survive or die game. There are tons of games left.
Just play consistent and field at a .980 clip. Make the plays you’re supposed to when they are there to be made.
Don’t swing at shite pitches. Take more hBP. Yorke got out of the way by a longs ways of one last night and then got nailed in the back. Should have been on twice by HBP.
Take pitches
Hit the ones you’re supposed ie disciplined approach.
Field the plays in front of you at a high clip.
That’s winning baseball.
