We may have the best DE group we’ve had since 2011

Currently leading the SEC in sacks and TFL. Ojulari is absurdly talented and Gaye + Anthony have made huge contributions. Defense would absolutely wreck havoc if our secondary could cover for even a little bit

DE's should be standing instead of in a down 3 point stance!

They still need to defend the edge better, but there are signs that they are improving.

DEs need to be able to play the run. Sacks are just one measure.

I’d say that our issues with the run our much easier attributed to our linebackers. Even the safeties bear some responsibility

Or, you know, if the ends could help prevent ANYONE from running around the end. LSU is in the bottom half of the league in rushing yards per attempt.

The number of sacks are great...until you realize that for every one or two of those a game the opponent is getting 5 huge gains.

Defense is a team effort

But the DL is letting guys get around and through them.

Pelini’s defenses are DL oriented. His top tacklers are usually DL.
