When's the last time we've had clock issues? Can people stop bring that shite up.

Ummmm.....that's on Crowton.

You have to have more than one nc and more than one sec championship and stleast a one loss season or undefeated season, I would just say he is one of the best

No, it's not. It's on Miles for allowing that confusion to go on. If Miles couldn't trust Crowton, he shouldn't have let him send JJ in or run it on second down.
And what about Ole Miss the year before? That one on Crowton too?

Actually yes. The last play is what will always be remembered but Crowton fricked that entire drive up with his bullshite play calling.

I've never really been a fan of Miles as a coach at all, his lack of attention to detail drives me absolutely crazy and I am still shocked beyond belief that he STILL sits on a lead early in the second half allows teams to hang around. You would think that after the '05 Tennessee game, UNC and WVU last year (the list goes on and on) that he would learn his lesson.
However, IMO he has gotten some unbelievable breaks go his way and we managed to pull out the win in these situations. The '07 Auburn game comes to mind. I'm sorry, throwing that pass to Byrd was NOT the right call, the clock management, the Tennessee game last year were all mistakes that a Head Coach in the premier football conference should NOT make. It seems that this could have been a blessing in disguise because now the players believe in him so blindly that they play there hearts out for this guy. But, this also comes with a price IMO. Up to this year, the player's on-field discipline has been down right embarrassing at certain points. A couple of examples are Rahim Alem kicking the football as hard as he could once the Umpire spotted the ball, ALL of the DB's trash talking before, during and after EVERY freaking play, Sam Montgomery actually stood over an Oregon player and stomped his feet right next to his head and stuck his nuts in the guys face. Last year in the UNC game when Ridley fumbled at the end of the game, Chase Clement ran the opponent out of bounds and knocked him down all the way at the bench and then stood over him and was yelling so loud at him that spit was coming out of his face mask. These are just a few instances that I can think of in which the player wasn't even taken out of the game at ALL. This is also in my eyes and direct coloration to all of the stupid procedure penalties that have plagued this program, although this year these penalties have been cleaned up very well.
Lastly, I can not say that he is the best coach in the nation when there have been countless instances where the camera is on him asking the Referee about the rules of the game. Not knowing the process of winning a challenge when he thought he got his challenge back. And I will NEVER, EVER let go of the fact that he tried to call a time out after LaRon Landry intercepted a pass. I also can not understand why we have SUCH a hard time getting good quarterback play when there are SO many schools year in and year out that take a true freshman into a hostile environment and have that kid play lights out.
No one can question the man's integrity, passion and love for his players which gives him a GIGANTIC advantage in recruiting. As I mentioned before, after having all of these insane decisions work out in his favor added to the fact that he seems to be letting his assistant coaches do their job, we now have a recipe of a program that has amazing talent that wants to play for this guy which in turn has helped develop leadership on the team. I do wonder though, where would this program be if all of those breaks didn't go our way?

He deserves bonus points for being able to play against LSU 5 times in 4 years.
(Pssst....the record is 2-2)

crazy huh? so, the best coach in the country consistently shows that he is not a detail oriented coach ... took almost a full year to figure out how to deal with clock management and in his eighth year as head coach, his team can finally go through a whole game without getting multiple substitution infractions ... and that is just being brief ... i guess i am just crazy ... but, i've never even played football and if i can see that these issues exist ... i think the other coaches might notice as well

tigerlunatic,
thank you so much for posting so little since 05.
i'm guessing that you spend a lot of time institutionalized. gawd bless, welcome to freedom again.
i've know ex-coaches like you who have been blessed w/ such an understanding of the coaching world. i'm even impressed w/ your lip-reading or mind-reading capabilities. are you sure these aren't voices in your own head? you might want to check w/ your nurse about a change in medication.
i'm also just guessing, but are you in because of children or addiction?
your hatred is really self-hatred and it is sooo good that you have the td to spew your venom in.
we love you and wish you a speedy recovery/ release (whichever comes first.)

wow ... wow ... wow ...
hatred huh? even though i specifically said the man has unquestioned integrity, love and passion for his players and the university and I believe that any parent would feel comfortable sending their kid off to LSU to be with Les Miles ... but, THAT was not the question that was raised ... the topic of the thread was about him being the best coach in college football ... the issues that i pointed out are very real situations and i just don't feel that a coach that continues to make those mistakes can be considered the best coach in the country ..... am i happy with the overall result? of course I am, who wouldn't be .. but, that doesn't mean that there isn't room for improvement ....
thank you for the generalization and psycho analysis of my life ... i needed a good laugh, however i would like to point out that any indication or mention of children to someone you do not know really is not a good habit to have
