I figured the Tulane offer would have been $3 million to about $3.25 mil. Just give Baker $3.5 mil for 4 years. He could of course jump to another job at any time but Baker could ge coaching a true big boy university very soon. If his defense is as good as it was this year then with Lane’s offense we truly could win the natty as soon as next year. I think Blake also believes that and I know Lane does if he has an actual defense to pair with his offense.

I heard Tulane offered $3 mil and LSU has said they’ll match reported by Mascona. Never know what’s true but paying him an extra $500,000 to stay sounds realistic. Hell if I was Kiffen I’d pay it out of my salary.

shite idk maybe cause he just watched the former coach of Tulane go from being Tulane coach to being head coach of Florida. The guy is a coach, his goal is the be the head coach of a major program. If that is his goal him taking Tulane job makes sense beings their coach just got the Florida job. I mean think for a second, I bleed purple and gold but I have common sense.

I hope we give him a godfather offer to keep him but i think the off right now are about 90:10 in favor of Tulane. We will know tonight after the game which way he’s going. Hard to pass up your alma mater but there is something special going on at LSU.

if all of the hype around Kiffen being the savior and LSU outdoes the 2019 team pans out he'd probably be better served staying put for another year, then he could get one of those ridiculous, one sided coaching contracts where compensation is guaranteed and not linked to performance
