“We expect to play Derek Stingley on both sides of the ball”

Of all the jibberish I bought into, this was the biggest letdown.

Wide receiver hasn’t exactly been a problem.

why does the rant just make shite up. Its not suppose to be until his junior year. Coach O has said this so many times.

He will next year assuming he doesn’t opt out.
Posted on 12/3/20 at 7:06 pm to HoustonGumbeauxGuy
Why?
LSU had no shortage of offensive weapons last season, no point in over using him.
This season is a waste, again no point in overusing him and exposing him to more injury risk

This board has been wanting defensive players to play on offense for over a decade

Dudes quitting left and right making business decisions because they're scared to get hurt and you actually believed Stingley was gonna play offense?
Posted on 12/3/20 at 7:09 pm to HoustonGumbeauxGuy
I was pissed they even floated that idea because it's ridiculous. It poses injury risk and unless he's playing 10-15 snaps a game they know he's getting the ball.

The Stingley's asked for it and he agreed. Cant imagine the melt if he would have said no and Stingley signed somewhere else.

Why does this kind of thing mean so much to some of you? It would not have changed a damn thing in the outcome except maybe to increase the fatigue factor for the best corner back in the country.
I cannot imagine the level of glee you would have if one of our gridiron gladiators showed up in as the 15 th man in Will Wade's rotation.

Dude has done squat on special teams. Not sure what the excitement of having him play offense was all about.

Stingley isn’t playing for LSU next season, please don’t be shocked.

This is exactly right. @HoustonGumbeauxGuy do yourself a favor and go read an article or listen to an interview where O says this explicitly. There are several. Plenty of shite to bitch about, you don’t need to make stuff up

That’s you’re only reply after creating this thread so ignorantly? You’re not going to address how you were factually incorrect? That’s what’s wrong with the world today.

It’s been repeated to death that it will happen his junior year.

WR wasn’t a problem when he made the statement. Just another, “We’re better on defense now than at any point during our championship season” kinda dumb quote.
