We cannot underestimate the Contributions of Steve Kragthorpe in just 1 Season

In just one year our QB position is looking to be loaded with great talent. I'm looking forward to seeing how much better our QB play will be against Bama after having a full season and over a month to get ready for the game Jan 9th. If we are able to sign any of the QB's being mentioned we will be better at QB than I can ever remember.
A far cry from the past 3 years. :bang head:
Thank you Coach Kragthorpe for contributing your time and talents to LSU football and the difference you are making in the lives of our players!
What specific upgrades at QB play have you noticed this year?
For me Turnovers are way, way down!!!

It hasn't been that long ago but I've forgotten what's its like to have a dominate QB on the field. LSU's success over the past two years is a testament to how skilled players at other positions can cover up poor QB play.

You right TenTex. I know that Stud officially has the OC title but in fact I think many of the changes that have been made are from Krags with the Hat's approval.
The biggest is just flat out simplifying the offense. No more kids running on and off the field like a frickin Chinese fire drill and just flat out deciting, hey...let's just run 10 plays and a few formations and run them right.
No more looking at wristbands every down and having to read so much, things quite frankly I don't think either JJ or JL are very good at.

Just think of what Coach Krag's has been thru the past few years and here he sits preparing his players for the National Championship Game. Congrats to him!!! :use:
This goes far beyond football. I feel he is making such a great contribution to the lives and character of our players.

Simplified things. Less confusion. More efficient.
The offensive philosophy went from trying to outsmart the other team to trying to beat them down.

I think Krags has done a great job here.
At the same time don't overestimate what he has done. Remember how good everyone though Crowton did after his first season.
Let's see what he can do to incoming QB's from highschool. I think Krags has a promising future at LSU.

Exactly Doc. IMHO the less thinking JL and JJ have to do the better. Tell them what they have to do and they are much more efficient IMHO.

A what?
dominant is spelled dominate 'round these parts.

I don't even agree with his post but I get so fricking tired of all these English professors jumping in a post and your only contribution is to try and attack someone's typo or in proper use of a contraction or what have you. Get a fuxking life!
I agree with the OP. I can't wait to see how the new kids progress as well.

I agree. The presence of Kragthorpe, AND the absence of Crowton, have made a huge difference.

It hasn't been that long ago but I've forgotten what's its like to have a dominate QB on the field.
We had one for the first 8 games but he got benched and now we are back to averaging 75 yards a game again. 30 in the last but that was due to the yards after the catch.

Dominant (pronounced dom-in-ant, the "n" is not silent, just hard to hear for some) - adjective, used to describe one who dominates. LSU is expected to be the nation's dominant team in 2012.
Dominate (pronounced dom-in-ate) - to exert mastery, control or preeminence. LSU is expected to dominate the nation in 2012.
