if Nuss wouldn’t have had his head up his arse on the 3rd and 9 at the end of the 2nd quarter and hit Thomas (who was wide open). We could’ve possibly gotten a FG at the end of the half or at least punted the ball leaving Bama 20-30 seconds on the clock and most of the field to drive down.

Potentially going into halftime down 10-6 and getting the ball back to start the 3Q. Nope, instead Nuss never sees him, we punt and Bama scores going up 17-3.

So, we can play this what if game either way.

And both scenarios leave us at the same place. With a chance to win

Well, when he moves his feet, they actually move him forward instead of it being a nervous tick in the pocket that prevents him from doing anything remotely correct technique wise. So there is that.

Regardless, after 22 starts from a 5th year senior you know exactly what Nuss gives you. You have to go a different route at some point and honestly, if you want to blame Wilson for something, its not making MVB the starter during the bye week.

:lll: are you seriously suggesting we had an equal chance of winning when the score 17-3 as compared to 10-6 ….with our anemic offense that can’t score in the red zone.

Nuss had to be pulled to give us any chance of winning the game. And he deserved to pulled after that 3rd and 9 in the 2Q and then taking that sack in the 3Q. He’s not good enough.

I don’t disagree with giving MVB a shot during the game to see if we’d spark but we did it at the wrong time.

I want to compliment Coach Wilson. That took balls but he played to win the game!

Uh, the decision should have been made two weeks ago.

agreed. Nuss should’ve been benched after the Vandy game.

I could have completed half of those passes.

No but you could’ve mixed MVB in for red zone. The drive that ended with Nuss scrambling OB early on we had a pocket move rollout earlier that resulted in a completion. The next time down there you bring in MVB, give the same look but you boot him backside with a guy coming across the formation. That’s how you use a guy like him in a game like that.

You're a moron if you can't see that MVB was the better QB last night.

Stop it.

Nuss in reality should’ve been benched after LATech. Or at minimum we start letting MVB get looks. At worse, Nuss should've publicly lost the starting job after Vanderbilt.

Your plan, detailed above, completely ignores Nuss playing poorly. He had to benched. When he was benched he acted like an a-hole. He shouldn’t see the field again .

It was time for MVB to get a shot. MVB played great considering there were 3 drops and it was on the road vs Bama.

Nuss - 18/21 121 yards, 5.8 per attempt.
MVB - 5/11 52 yards, 4.7 per attempt.

...but keep up the narrative.

Now do actual yards per completion.
