I think we might have beaten FSU with a tune-up game.....just bad timing for us....

You're correct though - don't see us losing to the Seminoles if we played them now...

Maybe if the NCAA stopped allowing cowards who schedule a big game in week 1 to slip in a week 0 game it would have prevented what if’s and coulda, shoulda, woulda’s.

Teams can absolutely cancel non conference teams and reschedule another one at a financial cost. LSU could have cancelled New Mexico by paying them off, then scheduled a week zero team. Would've costed like 2 or 3 million dollars but they could've done it.

We would have beat FSU if it was both team's first game, or both team's second game. THAT is what's frustrating, and we've got to stop bending over and taking this when we sign these "kickoff" game contracts.

It is, but just like dealing with injuries, playing your schedule when it falls is also part of the game.

It’s not frustrating at all. It’s kinda bad arse to watch a coach improve a team in front of our eyes. Imagine the future as we continue to improve. We will be as dominant as the Gumps sooner rather than later.

They got a zero week. Might get a rematch it the Gator Bowl, in addition to next year in Orlando. Would almost prefer that to a trip to Vegas a week before Christmas.

If we end 9-3 with a close loss to Bama we will play in a NY6 game. Pretty clear we are top 4 team in SEC.

NY6 should be considered the floor for this team now.

I agree. Stop scheduling with week zero games if we don’t play one

I would love to see if we had southern first if Malik would still be returning punts.

I would make the team who agrees to play the opening game sign a contract that states they will agree to pay LSU a specified amount of money if they schedule a week 0 game after both teams agree to a matchup.
