Nah. If we beat UF, which at this point is still a pretty big "IF" imho, I still think there is a team that will beat us left on the schedule. As good as Miles has been we always seem to stub our toe somewhere along the way. It'll still ok though because I will be absolutely delirious if we can be UF, so much so that it will dull whatever upset sting we may have later.

Who have thought we would loose to Kentucky and Arkansas!

He's talking about the regular season. If LSU is still undefeated when they travel to USC, I give them about a 35-40% shot at finishing 12-0.

This game compares exactly zero to those. Both those teams were ranked when we played them and we showed up for both games....they were just a war.

I really hope we pull out a win against Florida, but I don't think we can go undefeated. We will slip up somewhere

Which is why most people on this board pretend that bad things are destined to happen to LSU by fate.

a real optimistic fellow?

just stating an opinion on how I see the season unfolding. I think we have a really good team, but not good enough to go undefeated.

The Swamp is a tough place for us to win but I like the way Miles addressed it at the SEC media days when asked what team he looked forward to playing the most this year. Miles sais "Florida, since I've been the HC at LSU the last game we played at The Swamp was the worst game one of my teams has ever played and I just look forward to a great game".

I could handle a UF loss in the regular season and a win in the SECCG though. What I wouldn't be able to stand would be an Alabama loss and Bama going to the SECCG.

Alabama worries me more than Florida. Seems to me Florida is extremely one-dimesnsional; however, they DID look alot better against Tennessee than I thought they would. The ball was out of Tebow and Harvin's hands most of the game. Their defense turned it up a notch, but then again Tennessee is horrid.

The season is still too early to talk about an undefeated season... We have 8 games in a row once we play Florida.. and 9 if we are in the SEC Championship game.

Waay to early, I will agree. There's still a lot to figure out. Florida is just as fast on defense as Auburn. Tennessee laid an egg, but their good RB's could not break open big runs due to UF's team speed.

Georgia is capable of beating us and so is Bama. SC on the road worries me a lot less now, but it could happen.

If we go 10-2 and win the west, I'd be a happy camper. 11-1 and I'd be thrilled. Undefeated? WIth this schedule, it'd be shocking.

Beating Florida at Florida would change a lot of things about this season. It would vault us up into the #1 spot or #2 at least. Whoever doesn't believe that is crazy.

The coaches poll would reflect it for sure. And I'm 100% positive the Harris would too. I say this because the respect for the SEC is at a ALL TIME and primarily because of our results on the field.

So our whole season would change because the focus changes from shooting for a goal to becoming everyone elses.

Preparing with a hunger to be #1, to being told you are when you really aren't are quite different when looking at the sports pychology point of view.

Only a select few teams can stay #1 especially in the vaunted SEC.

These teams we face will start clicking and become better as the season goes on...as will we.
injuries will play a roll and football is football in the SEC...no gimmies...That said...I think Miles pepares a team better than anyone I have seen...and makes half time adjustments even better than Saban...It will be a great season. Just a little too early to say 11-0.

Honestly, I think we CAN go undefeated. It really just depends on our QB and CB play. The rest of our team is Miles above the rest. If we can get consistent QB play, like the 2nd half against Auburn, then I think we can go undefeated. But if we get first half QB play, were done for.
