We are set to pay Aranda about 1.9 million per year for the next 2 years.

If he leaves, we have that money to pay our next defensive coordinator. You really don't think we can't attract another DC as good or better than Aranda for that amount of money. Wow, Aranda is good and I would like to retain him but he isn't God. Many great DC's out there that would love to have our DC job.... Rant.

Assistants are dime a dozen. I never was impressed with Aranda. Wisconsin did not suffer with him leaving!

The problem is not a DC with Aranda's caliber. The problem is if he leaves, who is there to babysit Orgeron? It gets really scary with Orgeron as HC with a shitty DC.
