If I'm LSU... no way am I blowing an opportunity like the biggest non conference game of the season, in Jerry's World, with a national audience... to sport the traditional white uniforms.
This is how you build the brand and become more recognizable. Not by switching it up on people.
ESPECIALLY when you consider the fact that the NFL may not be operating at that time... and college football may be the only football available to people who otherwise would not watch you.

I would not be that surprised if we did. Neutral site game. Both teams are Nike schools. Most anticipated non conference game of 2011.

I just emailed Herb Vincent about the rumor. His response was "Nothing to it. Not true.". So there you have it. Email Herb at vincent@lsu.edu if you don't believe me.

I'm on the fence here. I see positives and negatives with going with new uni's.
On one side: Let Oregon play dress up and let LSU look like LSU
On the other side: Oregon will get a lot of attention and hype based on their what they are wearing...would be nice if ESPN was talking about LSU also, instead of going on and on and on about Oregon's look.

I work in the athletics builidng. I don't know who this guy is, but he is right. LSU will not be wearing a black uniform.
I assume we will wear white like we do in most bowl type games (Chic-fil-a kickoff, all bowl games, etc)

There is no way in hell LSU passes up an opportunity to put the traditional unis on display in this game. We have one of the more unique combinations in the history of college football. Let Oregon play their usual uniform guinea pig roll for Nike.
