I don't want Miles gone, but i do think this is a big game for Miles. It is going to depend on how we lose if we lose. A win is a win in the Miles era.

Is a potential loss next weekend more like the Ole Miss loss or the UGA loss? It better be like UGA if we lose.

But I am not worried about losing. I think we will win this one at home.

Uh...no.

This is just another game. As stated by others already, Miles has earned at least two more years before admin even thinks about looking for someone else. There are too many valid reasons we've struggled this year that were out of Miles' control.

What will likely happen is LSU will get better next year and win 10+ games and some people will still complain that we didn't win them all. Same $h!t, different day (season).

That is great, that is fantastic thank the man for a job well done "IN THE PAST," but how far does the past get you. What has he done in the recent past "last 2 years?" No titles and what you are obviously not understanding is that, what he is now getting paid demands that he win titles. This is not something that LSU went to Miles and said "hey you are such a great guy and coach we are going to make you the 5th highest paid coach in the country." No Miles and his agent held the University up by force and said if you don't pay we are going elsewhere and used Ark "last year" and Michigan 3 years ago, to get a raise in pay. That is all fine and dandy but when you do that, you better perform. The last 2 years he has not performed and if he doesn't perform next yr "that means titles, SEC West, SEC or NC" than I hope the pressure dials up in more. If you don't earn your pay, then you get fired simple as that.

Nobody's trying to change what Lester has ALREADY accomplished...props to the boy....but as Dude said, what have ya done for me lately??
He wanted that big salary and he got it. How long do you rest on your laurels? 2007 seems like a fking eternity to me. The 2011 regular season saved Les's arse, otherwise he might be gone now.
Memories are beginning to fade and there have been to many frick up of all kinds to justify the product we're seeing Les lead on the field right now.
IF CLM could play out these last two games with no frick ups and good games plans (and hopefully 2 wins), I'd get off his back right now....at least until next season starts!!!

This is true. The only thing that keep Less coached teams slightly above average is his ability to recruit. Better hope he continues this trend with guys that are allegedly leaning to LSU. If not, it is going to be a long 2-3 seasons before the sorry Administration does what is long overdue; get rid of this joker of a HC.

He had a NFL roster full of players last year that won out after a very tough loss to Bama. They had absolutely nothing to gain except injury and even played hard in the bowl game against Clemson. How many coaches out there can do that, ever?
Miles will have them ready on defense whether these players are any good is whats debatable.
The offense is playing for NFL money, they know they must play better this week, plus this should be a fun game for the offense. Looks like another Georgia game from here but this time its in Tiger Stadium. Losing to A&M will not be because we werent ready to play.

First I don't think we will lose to A&M for the simple fact is that the game is in Death Valley and we are a more talented team top to bottom than A&M. If you don't think we are more talented than trust me, we have much bigger issues than being prepared to play.

So if we were to lose to A&M that would either be because of lack of preparation, not motivated, being out-coached or lack of talent. I can't see any other reasons and all 4 of those reasons would lead directly back to the HC.

Personally I don't think there is anyway we lose to A&M, we are the better team, we are playing at home and we should be prepared to play. Let's see if Miles has the team ready to go.

This doesn't really matter at this point.

As we were against Ole Miss.

Like what????

This is FACT..........

Oh crap/.......... Give me a wet field. A & M is licking their Chops to go against this LSU D. There are factors YOU are not bringing in. Like REVEGE factor For A & M. AND the fact that LSU may come out FLAT. I am really not looking forward to this game. The crowd will be dull. The weather may be crappy and JFF is STILL a Heisman fav. He needs votes.

Doesn't matter whether you are a sunshine pumper or a so called "nega-tiger" we are going to find out a lot about whether Miles should be coaching LSU going forward or not.

We know about Miles , we are about to find out how little talent we really have on defense . The middle of the field will be picked on by Taxes A&M , and it will be open 80% of the time

First if you are going to use a quote of mine use the entire quote

quote:

If you don't think we are more talented than trust me, we have much bigger issues than being prepared to play.

The highlighted part in the quote explains the entire quote.

quote:

This doesn't really matter at this point.

Playing at home does matter and it affects the opposing teams offense the most, regarding O-Line play and audibles. We are not worried about A&M's defense it is their offense so if playing on the road affects their offense that is great for us.

Am I worried, obviously I am. I personally am more worried about Miles not getting this team up to play A&M and to realize this is about pride and defending our home. If MIles can get the team up to play I think everything else will take care of itself. Would I mind a wet field? Not at all, but if it isn't I still think we win if Miles does his job!!!!

I'd say the odds are good that the TAMU D plays better than the LSU D.

That's funny....

LSU fumbles sure TD in opening drive.
LSU 1st down on Ala. 20 yd. line - NO score.
NOTE: Would have kicked a FG w lead...
NO penalties (again) on Ala.

Ala. game was just an anomaly. When this happens you simply move on. Life is never fair. LSU will come back. Pride is on the line Sat in Death Valley on 11/23. No doubt about that

Absolutely! And this is brought on by the poor showing against Clemson and the Ole Miss game this year. Both loses should never have happened. The sole question is whether Coach Miles can get our team ready for the challenge. A "don't care" loss (Clemson) will pretty much define Les Miles and LSU football for years. I am a great fan of Coach Miles, but I am concerned.

Les is having difficulty getting his teams ready for games.

Why some players sit after mistakes and others don't, befuddles me.

There's seemingly no leadership among the players.

LSU's offense doesn't look that good anymore.

No way can LSU's defense stop Johnny.

IMO, and with a bit of 1st hand knowledge, the "code of silence" amongst current & former players will start getting leaks in it, as players are getting disgruntled with the direction & decision making of the this coaching staff.
