I'm an LSU fan, then I'm an SEC fan. IMO, SEC championships boost the standing of all other SEC teams.
Ole Miss should seldom be competitive with LSU unless politics/politicians weakens LSU's ability to field their best teams.
Example. Orgeron, then Woody, then Kelly.
Wade, then Woody, then Mac
The question is, how long does it take to recover from the disaster caused by politics.
Cheering for Miami does no hurt Ole Miss or help LSU.
