That's because no one cares

That's because people care that we pay a women's basketball coach so fricking much.

Unfortunately, they have been shitty so long, I no longer even know when they play. I really used to enjoy watching them back when they were competitive, too.

Nikki is criticized rightfully so because she is in year what 5 or 6 with mediocre performances, not what we payed for her to do. She hasn't been "awful" but very mediocre or average, which was not the reason we hired her. The program is extremely limited in talent compared to years past.

I am happy whenever we win but still have major concerns going forward as talent will not have this team consistently sniffing the top 25 in the future.

This team plays very hard, believe and breathes defense. I still think we have major holes in our offensive philosophy to be able to consistently score and compete with the best in the conference. We are extremely inconsistent on our outside shooting. Post players need to stay out of foul trouble. Which has been a problem.

I was optimistic about the hire but the results on the recruiting trail will never lend to creating a top 15 team. We will play hard and with passion, upset top 25 teams from time to time but we will never be in contention for major runs in the NCAA tournament or winning the SEC due to our performances on the recruiting trail. SEC will be frickin brutal this year.

I like Nikki as a person, I've been able to meet her many times, she's a nice person but she isn't right for this job. If y'all are content with being mediocre then sit back, if you want to improve and get back to where LSU used to be, it be best to move on. We are still at least 3 years away from being able to make a possible run. We need at least two years of GOOD recruiting classes. This past signing class won't cut it going forward.

Not trying to be mean about this but they could win 20 straight and I wouldnt care. Women's basketball is terribly boring unlike womens tennis, golf, track, volleyball, gymanstics et al.

I might be the only one in this boat but probably not

I know in general WBB isn't the most exciting but if you put a great product on the floor, people will show up. This doesn't just pertain to lsu specifically. You look at Mississippi State and South Carolina WBB programs. Before, hardly anyone showed up but after turning into one of the top teams in the country, a shite load of people attend games and fill up the stands. There has been plenty of evidence over the years, especially with the gymnastics and softball programs.

Even back in the pokey era, crowds were lit and filled the pmac

LSU has a passionate fan base in all areas, attendance would sky rocket if this program was a top 10, no question in my mind!

Hopefully we can get there eventually!

I know it's not feasible for every LSU sport to be a top 10 program but we should all strive to be the best in whatever we compete in! This doesn't just pertain to WBB but for all sports!

I don't care who the coach is, I want them to do well, if they can't do it, I hope we can find someone who can

The bottom line is that certain segments of our fan base want Pokey back regardless of her transgressions; I do not. I think Nikki is a good coach in terms of knowledge and effort. She has not been able to recruit on a high level. So the clock could be ticking, but not because of a lack of coaching ability.

I can watch softball but women's basketball is one of the most unentertaining things imaginable. I had to force myself to watch the tourney games back when we were making deep runs.

Most of the same roaches would be the first to post if we won 15 in a row or lost 3 in a row. I hope to see the ladies continue to do well. Some people don't.

I actually like these womens’ sports threads where you “who cares?”shitheads surface.

Easy to tell who are actual LSU alumni and who got the toonces t-shirt at Walmart.

when you eliminate race from a sport or two for over a decade, there goes your support for that sport. the pmac belongs to the gymnastics team now. basketball, both teams, need to hit the bricks. when funding is cut again, both basketball teams will be eliminated in less than 10 years, deal with it.

Women's college athletics is the biggest money loser in the NCAA. They are the proverbial Albatross around the neck of College Athletic Departments.
Thanks Title IX.
