A Sweet 16 for this team is amazing, and even that word seems inadequate for what they've accomplished over the last month and half. Coach Nikki has proven she's worth it.

Audrey did it for the baseball game, so she definitely should do it now...

It's crazy to think this team is in the Sweet 16...and no easy road either. Penn State...excellent fast paced team.

Truly proud of this team and I am not a real WBB fan but after this will definately be tuned in. I dont care who you are in college basketball dressing 7 out, getting killed on the glass, and still finding a way to win, unbelievable.
Lutley and Webb: definition of Senior leaders.

I know the PG got hurt sunday but why did they only have 7 other girls playing?

One transferred, one got the boot, one came down with guillian barre' syndrome and the last suffered what looked like another concussion from colliding with Webb in the last game.

Wow more power to ya, couldn't pay me all the money in the world to attend women's basketball

So why should anyone care whether you want to attend? Stay in the basement and watch porn if that's your pleasure.

What a fantastic effort by those ladies tonight. Webb was on fire and kept Lucas on lock all night! She put in one hell of a fine performance for her last night on the PMAC floor. Bianca showed more poise after the fourth foul that I've ever witnessed. I give her props for stepping up and being a leader all season though.
This was a team effort regardless of how many bodies were dressed.
Great win for the team, staff and program. Geaux Tigers!

I flipped from this game to soccer when it was 60-58 Lions I believe. What a way for them to claw back when everything could have gone downhill. Pretty impressive stuff.

Wow did not know about the loss to gee-on-bar-ray syndrome! That is horrible. Does anyone have any details on how bad it progressed? Probably the end of her athletic career.

My wife had that and it is not a minor deal.

Team did a good job of staying in it and played with a lot of heart. They were tired but kept pushing and it played off.

Not necessarily. It's usually caused by an infection. Once the infection is gone most everything can come back. It may take some time but she could definitely play ball again.

It is an auto-immune disease. The body starts attacking the sheat around the nerves. It starts at the extremities and progresses upwards. Some people die. Some only have minor affects.

Doctors can stop it in its tracks but recovery takes a long time since it is nerves that are affected. My wife had it about 10 years ago. She has not and will likely not ever fully recover.

Thank God we had a doctor that knew enough to start interferon right away. Heard horror stories about people with it that we misdiagnosed. Then it progresses and each hour and day it gets worse and worse. Years and years added to recovery.

Doctors tell you you will recover but only if it was mild or caught before it progresses. Some people have to be on a respirator for over a year if not stopped.

It has killed a whole lot of people that didn't get lucky enough to get proper treatment to this supposedly super rare disease. But everyone I talk too seems to know someone that had the same thing.

My wife was standing and bam when it hit in 30 seconds she could no longer stand. Was in a wheelchair for a while. 6 months or so I can't remember.

GB sucks arse!

ive treated plenty of patients with GBS that have recovered very well.

Which is why I said "Not necessarily"

While it is classified as auto-immune, it is unknown exactly what the cause is in many cases however it has been linked to systemic infections in which once the infection subsides, many times (not all times) the patient can regain prior levels of functioning.

Andy Griffith had guillan barre which put him in a wheelchair... He was eventually able to walk again.

A former Lady Tiger, Latear Eason, had it 2 years ago after the season ended. She is back to 100% after a full recovery

Also, Sheila was on the bench last night cheering the team on. So, they probably caught it before it did much damage.
