4 QBs total out of 130 QB in FBS had 70% or higher completion percentage last season, none of them SEC QBs.
In fact, going back to 2004 (which is as far as ESPN's stats will go, but I'm sure the trend extends further), only one SEC QB (Greg Mcelroy) threw at a 70% completion percentage for the season.
You are clearly disconnected from
Is anyone else wondering why this got ZERO response from our resident OSU tourist? It's not like he did not come back to this thread and did not see it, and did not engage with Goldrush again. He simply brushed it off as inconvenient information.
Again...I'm really hoping this assclown has no actual relationship with Burrow. His shtick is so over the top that simply responding to it forces LSU fans who REALLY like the kid to seem as if they are bashing him, and no one wants to do that.

I've never thought of Luny as a full on basher. He can walk on both sides and granted he does lean basher more often than not but he spends just enough time with the good guys that he usually gets a pass.
As usual, this thread derailed because several posters start attacking posters instead of material, and of course the OP is no longer relevant to the conversation. I just assume its done for specific reasons, and that's to unite the clan.

No one knows how this shite is gonna shake out. Every year people think they have it all pegged only to see it flip upside down. Even if we do somehow lose to Texas, it wouldn't be the end of the season. It's a long way to go until the end of November and a lot of shite can happen.
I think anyone that believes we are going to waltz in to Austin and curb stomp the horns is fooling themselves. We may very well win by double digits, but Texas is not going to lay down for us. They are not Miami. They have a good QB and a potent offense. Even though they are replacing 7 defenders they have decent talent. I still think we win, but it won't be easy.

I don’t even know what that means. I’m not sure where the confusion is coming in on this one. There’s nothing I am trying to get out of. I freely and openly admit to criticizing both of them

I wish I could upvote this a million times.

Will probably be a game at halftime.
But I do believe this is where Burrow raises some eyebrows. He's going to have a fantastic game IMO

Criticizing isn't bashing. Bashing is continually only acknowledging the negatives while never giving credit to the positives. I never thought you actually bashed either of those two, but if enhances your TD experience to call me an O basher, have at it.

There are things to legitimately criticize and then there's just plain negativity. It's not difficult to separate the two.

Sweet. The only concern I have for the upcoming season is that Orgeron hasn't yet brought an offensive assistant and just let him do his thing. Since that's the truth, I suppose that's legitimate.

Problem is...you don't get to define what's legitimate. They do. As such, until they agree with whatever criticism you and I and others have, it'll be called bashing.
Sorry...
BTW, I've generally found you to be too easy on Orgeron...so I'd hardly consider you a part of "Group Negative."

I was overly hard on him in 2017 and I still think he deserved it. Maybe the label spilled over since then, who knows? I still think the whole hating him and wanting him to lose is absurd.

Imo, he is better than mett or etling, and Jefferson. I think he goes 3rd round.

I really don’t understand where this mentality came from that people root for the or against the coach and not the team but it doesn’t just apply to O. Just point out that injuries to the pitchers as a reason for a loss and you will be branded an excuse making Mainieri fan

If he goes off for say 4000 pass yards 3-400 rush yards 40 something TDs, I mean we do have the talent and experience and Brady learned under Sean freaking Payton, then I could see him as high as a 4th round pick.
However, if it's just a good year, I only see him at 6th or worse.

Nah...unless you're nonstop pumping the guy up, you're being negative.
Hell...you clearly go out of your way to attempt to be even handed, and what do you get out of it? You're told you're just trying to APPEAR that way.

I wouldn't worry about it.

It's about as absurd as the whole O sycophant bullshite. They're both ridiculous although there have been several posters that have said that they'd rather O lose so he'd be fired sooner.
Posted on 7/10/19 at 9:24 am to H-Town Tiger
It's pretty hypocritical though. You can't use excuses for pitching with injuries, yet not allow injuries to be an excuse in football.

I remember reading that from a poster before I signed up. Can't recall his name. He is extremely anti o. He also had support from a couple other posters
