FWIW, this is what fricks pitchers in Colorado as much as the altitude does. They overcompensated by for the altitude by making the park cavernous and so there are a lot of hits that fall in that wouldn't in other places.

I do a lot of vessel calculations and bed depths and flux rates so this is kind of SOP for me.

Thanks for the kind words though. I’m wrong about as much as I’m right.

No chance I’m pitching there. There’s no chance I’m pitching anywhere anymore but certainly not Colorado.

No doubt. That’s why Vinni fricking Castella hit .331, .309, .304, .304, and .319 his 1st 5 years there. It wasn’t just bombs, he had a lot of doubles and singles that wouldn’t have fallen in a regular park. Dude never walked.

Why Larry Walker chased .400 a year or 2. Etc…

Tough for me to see a player get 30 HRs. If we make it all the way to Omaha it’s possible but Bear Jones and Tommy were two of the best HR hitters and couldn’t get to 30.

I see him closer to the 22-25 range.

Now Braun has a lot of power. He should sit 12-15 HRs easy.

I said Foley was a hitter's park. At first I thought you were trying argue that it wasnt but now it seems that you're pivoting and just trying to argue that UGA is good at hitting. Obviously, UGA is good at hitting. I never disputed that. The 2 aren't mutually exclusive. The hitting coach comment was just an observation. I didnt realize they were from Kentucky until i looked it up today and thought it was interesting. Again, I never argued that UGA can't hit but it seems that you're wanting me to. This is getting weird man so I'm not gonna keep hijacking the thread

BTW I've probably watched more UGA baseball than 95% of LSU fans as my wife is an alum and I'm pulling for them to win it. If you're looking for someone to trash their hitters for whatever reason you picked the wrong guy

How bout this, and we can move on: “Yes, it’s easier to hit home runs at Foley than the Box or other places. How much? Too many variables to easily determine. But knowing that, and seeing some of the recent success of their position players, probably makes it a bit easier for Georgia to recruit and land the big boppers they’ve had lately. And Athens is a pretty cool college town.

Now, can we all get along?
