My point is that all this "chatter" will not be continuous from now through next year (national media speaking). On the Rant, I'm sure it will be.
You're right about this. My primary point was that as someone who believes that Miles should have been fired, I am thankful that the shitstorm became public.
The bowl season, national signing day and preseason rankings will all have LSU in the discussion. The discussion around all of those will center around not only football, but how the Miles debacle is affecting all of these things.
The national shock and outrage over Miles potentially getting fired this year won't be so shocking next year because the spotlight won't be on a 3 game losing streak.
I think it's useful that the issues were brought to light this year so that if next year goes poorly we can make a move.
All of that said, I genuinely WANT Miles to win the bowl game, reel the recruiting class in and win the west next year. Maybe Miles knowing he's on the hot seat is what it takes for him to change some things.

It might help some if he wins it in a dominating fashion like the old days.
Because winning is never enough. Go undefeated but not win every game by 50+ points and some of you will still bitch. There is this thread of negativity that seems to be woven into the gene pool of every Louisianian. Some of you complain just to have something to say.

Fire cameron! Hire Lincoln riley as oc/qb coach and Head Coach in waiting.
Allow OC to call plays.
Dominate bowl game performance! Haul in a top tier qb.

Next year has the potential to be a good one with better QB, defense and special teams play. We should consider moving Alabama to the first game of the season every year.

Deliver a rousing speech like he did when the rumors were rampant about him going to Michigan. Beginning the speech with this signature line. Did we give up when the Germans bombed Pearl Harbor.

He's already united all the people necessary. Anybody not on board simply doesn't matter at this point.

This is the truth of the matter. He won the battle now he's gotta go out and win some games next year to win the war.

This is probably pretty close to what will happen

The reality is that the majority of the fanbase is united in it's support of LSU football, which includes it's coach.
The rant is populated by a vocal minority who have found a place to sit and wallow in misery together. There are some who come on here to get info and actually talk with other fans, but there is a large contingent that always think they know what's best for the program and just want to complain about something. If CLM would've left, they would've been complaining about the length of time it took to hire the next coach, or they would've complained about the staff, or recruiting, or (fill in the blank).
What Saturday showed was that the majority of fans support the program regardless. The rant doesn't. It tries to tear down the program regardless.

Be adamant about getting this program back on track & how it will be done.
This is the best point. But it's also something Miles has rarely if ever done -- taken full accountability for the state of the program.

People are able to extrapolate [and correctly so] that under-performing, mistake-plagued victories are fool's gold.
So while you're busy sucking Miles' arse for making you feel good about your choice to be a fan -- other, more competent fans can see what's coming ahead.

Miles could go 14-0 next year and half of this board would still want him gone.
If we look like crap doing it then you are right. I used to feel like we were going to win every game. I don't feel that way anymore. And I'm not just talking about bama.
I've been a Miles defender for years on this website and irl. But I find myself in the other side now.
