This is great news.
I grew up in Johnson City not far from Chattanooga. Wade was pretty popular I think people in Tennessee knew it was only a matter of time til he left.

I think it’s possible because we will have a definite go to guy who will put up big numbers and more defined roles. Smart will be the offensive backbone and he’ll be the guy with the ball in his hands at the end there’s no question. Last season it could be Waters, Naz, Smart or Mays. We’ll also have on the block post guys who’ll play with their backs to the basket all the time this year. Last season Naz kinda moved around and went inside or out and played a lot of faceup basketball. This season Watford and Emmitt will both be that stabilizing on the block presence all of the time. The reason this helps is that it takes away situations for the defense to play games. When you know there’s a guy always 7 feet away from the rim waiting to be fed you can’t use that extra defender to trap ball screens or cheat in anyway. It’s a bold prediction and I wouldn’t put money on it but I do agree that we could be better.

I've been saying this on here the last few days, and been scoffed at. There is no doubt in my mind we will be as good or better this year. I expect a 1 or 2 seed and 27 or so regular season wins. The tourney is kind of a crapshoot, and hard to predict.

I fully expect us to make the tournament and this to be a damn good team. But a 1 or 2 seed is going to be extremely difficult without a rim protector like KBW. I think a 4 to 6 seed may be more realistic.
