And you dont know jack shite if you think Simmons will not be an NBA star.

He's already an NBA star, along with 30 other current NBA players. NBA great is a totally different level. And IMO he doesn't have the heart to be an NBA great.

He may never be on the level of Kobe, Jordan, LeBron, etc. But very very very few are. He will likely be in that area right below, which would still be a major accomplishment. Just because he didnt finish strong on that shite show of an LSU team doesnt mean he lacks "heart."

I don't see any reason he can't be on the same level as Westbrook or Harden. Both are superstars. He has the talent to be considered a better player than those two too. I realize they play different positions. Just talking status.

Has Waters said if he’ll allow LSU to play in the post season this year?

He would only get that option if JJ was coaching. He is not. This basketball team clearly belongs to Will Wade, and any player who feels otherwise has sat on the bench.

If Wade was coaching when Simmons was here this thread would be about how Waters just passed up the greatest LSU freshman of all time in assist.

Ben would not have put up better numbers under Wade due to his uncle not coaching on the team. Plus Ben was playing for the NBA not being a good college player

So he wouldnt have put up good numbers because his uncle wasn't coaching? That makes zero sense. If you want to say he wouldn't have come to LSU, then I can buy that.

Simmons would not have been playing for the NBA if his team could make a tournament run, or if he had a coach who could actually coach.

I'm guessing you don't watch a lot of basketball. Also guessing you didn't watch Westbrook and Harden as rookies vs Simmons as a rookie.

But...but...but...he didn't lead LSU to a final 4 by himself. He sucks and has no heart.

Simmons was a PF. You realize this right?

Meh....he may have been listed at the power forward position in the starting line up. He played very differently than a traditional PF though.

Of course a thread about Waters breaking the assist record has more posts bashing Ben Simmons than congratulating Waters

Waters' court vision is some of the best I've ever seen, he finds these insane passes that shouldn't work but do.

Obviously a well deserved record

idk if he wears #3 because of it but he reminds me so much of watching Chris Paul in New Orleans. All over the court, stealing the ball, dishing it out in insane ways. Love it
