It was a bad call. If we wouldn't have instant replay, we wouldn't know that. The ball was fair and it would have most likely been a double, which scores 2 runs. That would make it 3-3, but everything else beyond that is pure speculation. The point is that they may have tied the game, but it's not like they had the winning run voided. I can think of 3 or 4 times we got bad calls since the regionals. I thought the ump was calling some bullshite balls during the game we lost to them, which forced the pitches over the plate and allowed them to square up on them. But.... its fricking baseball man. There are bound to be bad calls. We got lucky this time but how many times are we are the receiving end of some bullshite? Its just part of the game

Their own coach said they played tight which means they choked. There isn't anything wrong with that for such a young team. They get all but 1 position player back and their child molesting Ace. They will be back next year.

That said, OSU has gripes re the foul ball yesterday and the ball-called-strike today. Both were pivotal and changed momentum. Sad that it had to come down to those questionable calls. If our Tigers had got the same...I'd be bitching big time. That said, OSU has gripes re the foul ball yesterday and the ball-called-strike today. Both were pivotal and changed momentum. So you know for a fact that had the ball been called fair and OSU runs scored that nothing would have changed after that. LSU would still only get 2 runs?

As for the strike zone, it sucked equally for both teams, but one took better advantage of it than the other side. Did you also notice there were pitches over the inside of the plate that appeared to be strikes and only one was shown in a replay. So yea there's always a lot of "well if this..." in baseball games.

If you played you would understand this as a part of what makes the game one of the fairest in all of sports.

If it had been reversed on replay and called a double, wouldn't it have only scored 1 run, since they had runners at 1st and 2nd?

I have proof they paid multiple refs and fans to make this happen.

Even if LSU did pay FANS, how in the hell does this even translate to a win? Wouldn't those same paid fans have been in attendance for the 13-1 shellacking?

The utter stupidity of that statement makes we want to never step foot on Oregon soil for fear that I might encounter that moron.

I am disappointed that I haven't seen a post about A poor Oregon State fan taking his grandbaby for some ice cream during the game while a pack of LSU fans stalked them from behind and ran up and knocked the little girls ice cream right out of her hand...

Oh wait that's the OTHER Oregon

OSU won back to back championships in 06 and 07. LSU fans respect the program.

OSU played the CWS without one of their aces. They'd compete well in the SEC West.

Agreed-- OSU was trained to take-take-take.
The Umpires were having none of that strategy after Monday. The strike zone was applied to both teams. OSU whine is sour grapes.
