I’d like to think most adults are aware of the ramifications of it, and honestly realize that it’s pretty classless and probably shouldn’t be said.

But damn the other part of me loves it.

Maybe just say it's grown up language. Kids understand that.

Or if they really want to sing along tell them the words to the actual song and have them say that.

It's pretty simple.

Fwiw, I don't like it, but I don't really care that much either way.

It was definitely more than 2 or 3 times.

I was in 102. I heard it somewhat clearly 3 times at most. If they said it other times, it definitely wasn't easy to make out.

Unless someone is saying it within a few rows of you it's not very easy to make out the words regardless. Most people know it because they've been told what they're saying.

Those innocent little 8 year old girls. I wish everyone of you could have seen that. Just disgusting.

OMG they heard people shouting something that couldn't make out and were left confused for a few minutes.

I hope they're not scarred for life.

As I said, I had several plant baws around me that would chant it every chance they got. I assumed they were chanting it with the student section, but I really couldn't tell. I know for sure I heard the students chanting it 5 or so times to a song that the band would play that was not neck, but had a similar cadence.

I was in that student section yesterday. I was trying to explain to everyone there how classless and rude it was, I swear! It’s like they were a bunch of drunk and high teenagers or something!

My wife and I were there with my boys (ages: about to be 7 in 2 weeks and 3-1/2). Both are intelligent kids, but my wife and I purposely and actively engaged them while the song was being played to prevent questions. My wife and I are pro-Neck and absolutely LOVE it when it’s just the 2 of us at a game. They’ll be exposed to this type of language at some point. Plus, who wants teams like Bama, UGA, A&M or UF getting “family atmosphere” treatment? Be loud and crazy, and I’ll handle my boys’ questions if I decide to expose them to a highly emotional atmosphere.

Now imagine in 10 years you're sitting in the north endzone and you hear 35 year old men chanting it. It makes you want to cringe.

I find the entire thing a funny, but only when it's done sparingly. If they're doing it for every other song, it's ridiculous.

The only reason I find it funny is the middle finger it gives to the administration that completely mishandled it from the get go. Banning neck basically ensured STTDB would be a long term thing.

My twelve year old son and I laughed our asses off the whole time yesterday. We didn't yell it; but we were definitely enjoying the atmosphere.

My guess is, in ten years, when he's twenty- two, he'll either yell it or he won't.

it's really not that big of a deal; and there is nothing you can do about it except whine on a message board about it.

The thought/ speech crowd is out in full force tonight.

I agree with you here. It sucks when it's forced.

Neck should be saved for Big Game big momentum situations and let the student section get rowdy.

Right now they know it isn't going to be played so that say it whenever and wherever they can fit it in.

Save it for the big moments and it becomes something special

The worst thing about STTDB is it showcases a quality Loserana edumucation. You freaks can't even come up with something original.

Makes me sad what my school has become.

People who don't realize that these games are not for the virgin ears or eyes of naive young kids are the problem.

I like the song and don't mind the college kids chanting STTDB. It's like dixieland delight. I just think it's embarrassing when 40 year old men are chanting it.
