Have any of y’all been having issues with watch espn? The ads stream in perfect hd with no issues, but the live sports feeds are choppy. I’m getting good hd picture, but it looks like the action is moving at 4 frames per second. Like a really bad gif or an old school animation flip book. I’m not having any issues with my internet. This has been going on for about a month on my smart tv, Sony Bravia.

Yes, same issues started for me about a month ago. All other streaming apps work fine, only one that gives me trouble is ESPN.

I’m actually planning on uninstalling the app and then reinstalling it to see if that solves the issues.

Yeah, espn is phasing out the WatchESPN app and trying to integrate everything into 1 app. They want you to use ESPN+ and watch in the ESPN app

In fact, I don’t think WatchESPN is even available in the App Store.

It’s on a smart tv fwiw. Not sure if I have choice in what app I run. I’ll do a quick search.

I have the same issue with a new sony bravia. It is isolated to watchespn/LSU baseball games for me. The picture quality is perfect but it chops. I've reset my modem/router but no improvement.

I'm kinda getting used to it

I found a work around. I have a sling subscription and didn’t know I could steam the alternate programming through the sling app. Crystal clear.

Don’t uninstall because it’s no longer available in the App Store. ESPN is available but doesn’t not have all of the baseball games, etc. as the WatchESPN app does.

If you press “watch” on the regular ESPN app, it’ll bring you to a tab that resembles the WatchESPN app. You can watch the same streams from there.

I used to have a lot of issues about a year or two ago, especially when watching LSU baseball. Have not had any problems on my computer or Roku since. Must be lucky.

I hear ya man; strange that I watched all baseball games last season with the same set up and din't have any issues. It's like they changed their cameras or something.

Same here. But, I’m actually having issues with all of the ESPN channels when watching via my fire stick. But, when streaming on my iPad is slingtv, no issues, so I’m just doing that and casting tonmy tv via chrome cast, instead. Much smoother stream. Same app, different device. It’s odd, but it works.

LOL I literally googled this on another tab. It's been an issue for me for about two weeks. Good luck

Switched to regular espn app and works perfect. Has everything WatchESPN had. This is the solution. Pretty simple

Watch ESPN app tells you to use the ESPN app for better service.
