I consider Dave Aranda as one of the top 3 defensive coordinators in college football. He has done awesome for what he has available. I'm afraid we are going to consume all of his productive years at LSU with average offenses and have nothing to show even though we have a championship caliber coordinator.

Even as one of Orgeron's biggest critics I say let's wait and see what this offense is able to do before we talk about "wasting Aranda" and his productive years. He's still very young in the coaching sense.

Can we just see what this season and next season brings us?

Don't be scared little girl. If he's successful now, he can be successful for a long time. He's not a flash in the pan.

That's right. Let's see what Ensminger and Burrow and supporting cast can do over these next 2 seasons.

Are you serious with this post? Aranda is one of the best Def Coordinators in the nation and I'm including the NFL but more important he is a grown man and made a decision to come and stay at LSU! Do you not believe he understands what he is doing? A guy like Aranda knows what's going on in the football world unlike you and some others on this site.

Aranda himself said this year that this is basically his second year here. If you consider the roster he had to deal with when he first arrived, it's the truth.

The man obviously believes in what we are doing and building here or he wouldn't have stayed. I think he wants to see, like most of us, what this team will do with a full roster that doesn't have holes at every position.

I just read that we are taking at least 3 or 4 MLB this cycle and we are in the running for some top LBers. When you have depth like we do, you can go after those top guys and not have to worry about filling needs. Just add to that depth.

He wants to see how this team performs when we have 3 and 4 year guys in the program on offense and defense. I think most fans want to see this. That's when I'll judge this staff. The way we are working the LOS and front seven, the strength of any team, it won't be long before this team will be back in the running for the playoff.

We need to convince a QB or two to commit but the recruiting game is hardly over to accomplish this. We could also use a few DEs and DTs to commit and we should be able to do that once they see how good this DL is in 2018. I would also like to see some big time athletic TEs in the program.

Maybe Steve E will showcase those players in his offense and we can do that as well. Cam Wire is going to be a great LT at some point and we are still loading up on OLman. Not to mention Parker and Rosenthal who I think would be a great RT at some point. We have some great talent up and coming so it won't be long before this team is legit at every position. Go Tigers!
