It was worse than that. Elko took his foot off the gas early in the 4th

In the 90s we were bad so Florida laying an asswhiping was expected.

In our golden era this was a low point

The second half of Tulane vs LSU in 1981 was equally bad, as well as a couple of the Florida blowouts in the 1990's. We were outscored vs Florida in '93 35-0 in the second half, and 42-6 in the first half of the 1996 game.

I cannot recall a similar collapse on both sides and ST. Brian Kelly needs to go. Is there any question about that?

I’m taking my kid to a game next year from out of state.

I’m thinking it should be early season. I don’t want this to happen. BK won’t get fired.

Déjà vu - Marcel Reed had his coming out party against LSU last season. That's right folks.

Was it a collapse, If not for two brain dead plays by Reed, we are likely down 10 or more at half.

But perhaps that would have been better as maybe we would have made adjustments like good coaches do.

I see no adjustments by the staff on either side of the ball

If you consider we were ranked and with Moss out for them, arguably fielded a more talented team, it was by far the most embarrassing half of football in TS that I can recall. The only thing that comes to mind is the 29-0 loss to Bama at home in 2018 when we were ranked 4th. And even though that was total domination, it was a slow death over 60 minutes and we didn't channel our coach and outright mentally quit like we did on Saturday.

Throw in the Aggie's taking over the stadium 4/1 in fans in the 4th quarter and it was by far the most embarrassing thing I have seen in 45 yrs of going to games. All the references to the early '90s are apples to oranges.as we knew we over matched and it was expected we would lose to the point when we actually did win a game....any game...it was remarkable.

I mean, in what world would anyone believe that Kelly would be fired within a matter of hours when we ran off the field at the half? Hell, it still feels surreal.

I was holding on to false hopes after the first half, but when they started getting penetration on us in the 2nd I said oh shite just let them make it ugly and nasty baby, knowing this would be kelly's demise.

In terms of 2nd half only?

Tennessee 2005(katrina game)

Alabama 1998.

The story was supposed to be about how Alabama had a long unbeaten streak at LSU on the line when it visited Baton Rouge in 1998.

Instead, the Crimson Tide pulled off one of the the greatest comebacks in the Alabama football history.

After trailing for most of the game, the Crimson Tide scored two touchdowns during the final two-and-a-half minutes for a 22-16 victory at Tiger Stadium.

The two late touchdowns were both thrown by Andrew Zow, who was 17-for-27 for 284 yards and three touchdowns en route to being named the SEC Player of the Week.

Agree the comparisons to the 90s really don’t hold up. Yeah we were terrible but we also knew we were terrible and were not ranked with any expectations. Things have changed a lot since then. Why is no one mentioning never crossing the 50 yard line on offense in our natty loss to Bama ? That game was the most painful to watch.

It’s the Jamie Howard auburn game and it’s not even close, to blow a 21 point lead cause ya keeping throwing pick 6’s is the most ludacris way to lose ever. Auburn literally could not love the ball on us, we could have took a knee the whole fourth quarter and won
