I agree... If we play the second half like we did the first... 60 - 10!! I believe they will correct their mistakes and this will be a GOOD season.

Totally agreed.

My issue is with the coaching that totally squanders the players' talent.

I saw no glimmer of hope, I saw the writing on the wall, but I agree

too much like the last 2 years for me to believe that it won't be the status quo

You would figure after 2 seasons it would stop being glimmers of hope and actually turn into something.

I mean, the offensive and defensive lines looked improved but the overall character of the team is just more of the same. And if you take away the deep ball to Randle, Jefferson completed 14 passes for 100 yards. Not that special... I mean he made some decent throws so I don't know if its him or play calling but the offense can't continue to be so anemic.

Additionally, quit asking for Miles or any other coach to be fired. Like you, I watched the game and wasn't happy with how we finished. But, perhaps unlike some of you, I saw glimmers of hope and believe that teams can improve when they work on correcting their mistakes.

You just reduced the post count on this site by 100,000 over the next week with this request.

Watch what you say

I guess this is where people come together to talk about a right to give an opinion, but after reading some of these opinions over the years, I can see a definite need for this oversight. I don't expect this rant to become a one-sided love fest about LSU, but some respect for the talent and concern for the players has to be insured.

I truly enjoy reading the comments, insights, and analysis of those who post here; however, the need to tear down the players is beyond me. I would have killed to have been in a uniform and walked out on to that field just once in my life. I would have given anything to play my heart out for the Tigers. What makes you think these players are any different from you or me? I would love to talk to some of the co-workers of peolpe who post to this list and find out how you are the biggest arse in the building. I also never played organized football. I cut people who have a lot of slack and assume they know more than I do. Some days though, I am not so sure.

Case in point, I find out about T-Bob Hebert and the holding call in the last quarter. I couldn't see any of that from where I sat in the Dome, and they sure didn't replay anything worthwhile or controversial on the big screen. My son calls me later the next day to tell me that it didn't look like a holding to him. There were a few instances like that in the game with a few players. I know T-Bob's grandparents. I taught two of his uncles. They bleed purple and gold, and I think he is a better player than he gets credit for. And let me ask this. Do you really think that ragging on some nineteen year old kid and telling them that you wish they would disappear from the earth is going to inspire them to play better? If they have character, and I damn sure think they do, they feel worse about the mistake they made than you do. Criticize the play or an action of stupidity like a personal foul, but don't go after someone's personality and think they will automatically become inspired a few minutes from now.

Our "enemy" is not ourselves: it's the team on the other side of the line. Going to war with our team is distinctly short-sighted and not in our best interest.

As for the coaches, they get paid to take abuse like it or not, yet I don't see how talking about Jon Gruden as the next coach helps us. If the sun came up and there was cloud in the way, there would be somebody here blaming Miles and asking for his job and his head. Give it a rest people. I am with Chicken. On Sunday morning our win looked a lot better than Ole Miss' loss, AND we played a lot better.

I think it is more play calling and the coaches not developing him the way he should. This is his third year in the program and it still doesnt look like they have figured out what he does best and that is coaching.
