Chris Jackson was the greatest college basketball player ive ever seen in my life. He could score 40 whenever he wanted to. He busted 50 a couple of times. That boy could play podna

Shaq was just a raw freak talent. He wouldve dominated any other center to ever play the game in college. The man-child could jump out the gym and manhandle any single man in the post. Hell he would manhandle 2-3 of them every trip down the floor. If he wouldve been a great free throw shooter his average wouldve been in the high 40's.
Think Dwight Howard x's 5

*Vernel Singleton doesnt get enough credit for being a great role player on those teams. His sophomore year he averaged 16 points per game. Thats with Shaq and CJ on the court at the same time.

According to some, there were no "glory days" for LSU hoops. They never existed. Man, I slept on the ramp of the PMAC for nothing back in '84 to get in the NCarolina game.

If that group of guys wouldve had a great x's and o's coach they wouldve been back to back ncaa champs or damn close to it imo

The refs were not trained to call games with Stanley Roberts and Shaq....they were simply not able to deal with it properly....hack a shaq resulted in him leaving early to NBA...the team needed one more year to gel and run the floor better for a whole season...Chris left for hardship reasons I believe....we blew a big lead against a loaded team in the second round due to lack of killer instinct....maybe a second / final year would have been the answer.....good times though

maybe my proudest moments as an LSU fan was knocking Duke out of the 2006 NCAA tournament.
Just clicked on that myself. One of my top 5 LSU moments of all time...that Duke crowd was stunned

That 99-00 team had so much dang talent. Still can't believe they lost to Wisc...
